all of the explanation of delays is clearly printed on the back of the toy. takara probably has higher standards of compatibility than toshiba. I have no idea how toshiba keeps the doors open, they produce equipment as if the focus is to have the narrowest chance of being productive in the field. this card will only work in the fourth slot of the fith expansion cabinet operating with a motherboard that is yet to be released but will automatically upgrade firmware making the card obsolete. when the desired result is 8 digital lines and two analog lines, stuff that has been common for decades. did they make it too complicated? YES! is it acceptable to have to explain this to the customer who wants the lines to better run his business? NO! did you just waste productive time in the field and look stupid in front of the customer? YES! THANKYOU TOSHIBA!

 

My sentiments exactly. I don't mind the litle bits hanging off, it's really the only good update we've gotten for Blaster and I think it's looks great! Glad to hear it's bigger than we all thought as well. Send me one already!!!!!

I honestly wasn't interested in this before, but if he holds G1 Cassettes well, I'll prolly pick him up.

 

From the very first preview pic we saw of him in May last year, I've wanted him ever since. One delay after another pissed me off to no end... but now - he's within reach... If TakTom delay him again, I'm gonna...  

 

Wow, that's bigger than I thought it would be, but I guess they did want it to fit tapes.

 

Unless Toshiba makes a Macbook I doubt that's going to happen.

It has a connection cut off problem between the legs after it transforms into robot mode. They rebuild most of the lower body to fix the problem.
I guess the joints nearly killed it. Release date is 7/24, 6825 yen.

God damn it this is great, I hope we get a Soundwave like this using a unique mold. Like a macbook with a Decepticon symbol instead of Apple. Or a Kremzeek symbol.

It seems like Blaster has been in development forever, but the wait may finally be over soon! I'm really looking forward to it, and that's even better news that the toy is probably Voyager-ish scale (I did wonder how they were going to fit the cassettes in a Deluxe-scale mold).

 

Maybe I will one day have money again to pic this up. I had lost interest but the new pics have me wanting it again.

 

I had interest, lost interest and cancelled, and now I'm pre-ordering again. Blaster's too iconic and I like Straxus, Piranacon and ML Soundwave too much to not have their foil in my collection!

 

I don't know why, but the more I see of him, the less interested I become. There's just something about him that doesn't sit right with me. And those new pics from the back don't help.

maybe they can just use the mold and remold some parts, like outercasing of the laptop... they don't have to stick an apple logo on it, just use it has a basis for a generic mac laptop.

folowing that idea, give him a new head, hand gun, shoulder gun, new tape deck door, paint job and call it Soundwave
(YES cause Soundwave deserves tapes too, not a freaking memory card)

I had this on preorder at Robot Kingdom after the cancellations, but before that last delay. I've talked to them about this already and they say my preorder is still good (it better because I have been billed already). I really hope there is no confusion with this.
