There's been a lot of Devestator customs, and one day I wanna do my own, so I thought I'd start this as a "between projects" project. Based mainly from the Devestator on page 97 of the visual works book, but with the visor used in the animated movie. A couple of quick renders. Next step. Thin out the chin. Not sure whether to stick to the gormless monster expression or go for an open mouth roar. Size is based on the Cybertron supreme Starscream. Ball joint mounted neck. Room in the head for LEDs and an activation button.
I'm not really digging the mouth and how you have the cheek bones chiseled in, but other than that, it's looking really good thus far. Is there a ball joint built into the neck? Is there room in the back to install an LED? - Alty
Thanks! It's a long term project, depends what I can fit in. Changed the face, yes there is room for LEDs also put a button in the back. I wasn't happy with the face so I've changed it, also gave the option for regular eyes or a visor.
It'll be on shapeways by the end of the week. I do wanna do toon accurate heads for all the smaller bots, but I need to collect all the figures need first to measure out the sizes so they can still transform.
sweet which figs you mean (i am making my devy from the intelligence warrior kit/ landfill team and a custom mixmaster) and would love to have them but depending on which figs they are made for i dont know that they would work in my case. but that devy head would absolutely do the trick
Thats the problem, there's a lot of varients to Devy customs. I'll keep you posted on what I decide to do.
Just design a full Devy, all six figures. That'll be cheap(!) In 26 years of toys I've not been happy with any Devy, the original is the closest.

As requested... 6 Deluxe sized Constructicon heads. As the images for each character was different in each of my refrence books I've gone for a more uniform style to make them look more like a team but still retaining their individual charachters. Each head is sized to be just slightly smaller than Universe Sideswipe and has it's own ball joint peg.
