Pinpoint, I realize that you have your own compunctions with this, but the idea of cell-shading a figure is to make it look like it's animated.

Just leaving it shiny and without lines would defeat the entire purpose of cel-shading a figure.

That said, it looks okay.

 

First of all, Bumblebee looks AMAZING! Also just because this doesn't fit your taste in paintwork, there are ways to convey a critique without coming off as a douche. Which is what you are. I can't even comprehend the amount of time and work doing this type of work must take, so you could at least be civil toward the artist/customizer instead of being a prick. Try learning some empathy. Oh and BTW I saw your "art" thread... LOL yeah I wouldn't be criticizing anyone if I were you mate.

Dude, you stop. The entire point is to cell shade the figures to look like the game. Pretending that doesn't exist just to complain about it serves no other purpose than to be rude as hell. You can even say he did a bad job (which isn't true) but to say the entire endeavor is horrible is just not needed at all.

It's not to my taste either but I can recognize skill and talent when I see it.

Dude, don't stoop to their level, c'mon. That said, I can't disagree with your assessment of Pinpoint's art. It's not my cup of tea and after looking at it, there's no way Pinpoint has the right to tell someone else their art is terrible. That's not to say Pinpoint's art is terrible, in fact it's better than what I could do, but I know my limitations...not going to point fingers at others for their work when mine isn't going to win any awards. Might be food for thought for Pinpoint, jus' sayin'.

I totally appreciate the amazing effect you are doing on these! Each of them look like they've just stepped off screen!

Without being pedantic (or a douchebag) the only thing I'm not feeling is BBs head - perhaps because it's so small it loses a bit of the sharp detail but it's like the tiniest criticism ever.

Just getting my head around the 3 dimensional awareness to paint these is difficult! Good job!

Looking good as always. Keep em comin. I wish there was a Star Saber in TF Devastation cuz I'll bet you'd make that look even more amazing.

 

If the rumours turn out to be true, we will be getting a Devastation accurate legends Bumblebee. That could be something interesting to try cell-shading on.
