The Transformers Collectors' Convention - BotCon 2015!
$200 good luck with that
I wonder what the cut off is for how many people can get in for the VIP package. Hopefully I can get in, I just have to figure out what item I want him to sign
I thought somewhere Pete said it was 200 but not for sure
I figured it would cost $200. That seems to be the average cost for a high profile guest nowadays. Now I must decide on whether it's the FW VIP or GT or both.
You get a decent amount of swag and privileges, but adding another 200 dollars to your ticket and you have to be a club member to even qualify?...ouch! Not for the poor kids among us, I guess! But it's probably normal nowadays.
Don't think I will be doing FW or GT this year
$ is a little tight right now unless I make bank on my show next month
Seeing as you get a lot more than you do at the Texas Comic Con, I am looking forward to this VIP package
What do u get at TCC
I thought it was just one autograph and a pic.
Poster, pin and front rows seationg too
It's actually not too bad, though Im sure the Cullen and Welker VIP packages at other shows included entry meaning the the VIP bit of the $200 is probably nearer $150-175 elsewhere.
Yup, that is it. And from what I heard, it was poorly ran last year with Cullen.
He's asking about Texas Comic Con, not Botcon...
So do the VIPs sit in the same row as the GTs or in front of them during the FW panel? That is the BIG question.
Given Cullen's cost at other shows, this is in line with what I was expecting.
It sucks but it is reality, and if I was going to Botcon I'd drop that without thinking twice given this is Welker we're talking about here.
Granted, this comes from a guy who just dropped $175 on a Cullen package last weekend, so full disclosure there.
What a joke. You're already at the convention. If you're a primus attendee I can understand some additional fees but what if you don't want all that and just a photo or just a signature. Bad enough IMO the set is a miss then another 200?
FWIW, if you want to blame someone, blame Frank Welker. He's the one setting an appearance fee. The man isn't cheap.
Yeah, I'm not a con guy, but if I was, I cannot think of anyone I would pay $200.00 just to meet and get to sign a thing, ON TOP of the cost of the whaeverthefuck package you have to buy also.
NO disrespect to Welker as he is a VA legend, I just don't have that celebrity worship thing going for me. It'd be cool to meet a lot of people and shoot the shit, but not to pay to prove I met the person.
I'm glad he's doing the con thought for all of the people that will for sure sell this out.
Perhaps one of the few times in a lifetime to meet Frank Welker but man that's too rich for my blood i'm afraid.
Well it's not like i'm attending BotCon anyways.
To those who meet him, cherish those precious minutes.
