Has anybody heard any information on this? I've been wanting to see a submarine transform, (you know how you just imagine things transforming) and searched to see if there already was a Sub-Transformer. I go to wikipedia, and find that he has significance in Beast Wars with Rampage. But Spoiler Bumblebee then fights and defeats him by ripping off an arm and shooting him in the back of the head. He's not a submarine, but they say he's in ROTF as a scout, and Spoiler BB kills Rampage so he doesn't even get to settle his score . . . WTF! His function is The Aquatic Forces Commander. So since they destroy battleships, could that maybe be Bay's reason? Like we all know, but for the sake of discussion . . .
What exactly does beast wars have in common with this movie??? ahem, nothing That being said, I would love to see depth charge as an autobot in this film!
Beast Wars has nothing to do with it, but Depth Charge and Rampage had alot to do with Beast Wars, thinking their history will be in the movie. Since Depth Charge may be.
Are thinking the toy figure will be in the movie? No, those are just to pad out the line. There won't be any WWI Bi-planes in the movie either.
No part of that says he has an appearance in the film. And he's not "a scout", he has a Scout Class toy, meaning a toy in the $8 price range.
Either he is or isn't, would be nice nonetheless to have an aquatic transformer since they don't have any official flyers on their team, and it would be nice if they traveled the planets in different methods rather than always drive.
Maybe... But in the movie novel, Ransack does show up in egypt as one of the Seekers, and Jetfire stomps on him, so it could happen, probably won't.
I could see where you might get confused but you have to think of the movie-verse as three different universes that have a lot in common but also vary a great deal. So the film universe is it's own universe and if the production team doesn't like something from the comic books or the toy line then they don't have to make it part of the film. The film universe consists of just the movies, extras from the DVD, and perhaps any tidbits the writers would like to share about their bigger vision of the Transformers universe. The toy line is a universe into it's own self. While it offers us up the characters that we see in the movies they also offer up characters who will never be in the movies because they are free to expand upon the film universe. You also have the bio on some of the toys vastly different than the other stuff such as some characters alive in the toy universe are not alive in the film universe. Comic books, novels, you've got the same thing. They are strongly inspired by the film universe but they don't always match up to the film universe since they have the freedom to expand on ideas or look at parts of the Transformers universe not touched upon in the film universe.
That's pretty much how I take it, as theres too many departures from the movies in the movieverse EU. Toys of Brawl being produced saying he was hiding in the desert, Barricade getting killed by Prime in the first book, etc.
Yesterday I was thinking the thread was gonna die, coz of the Thread Police and their facepalms . . . This makes a lot of sense, but if he's really not in the movie, why would wikipedia state that he is? Wonder where they got their info from . . .
