MP Wheeljack would have likely been a May/June release if not for TF4.

Hasbro and TakaraTomy are going to be marketing AOE hard in the coming months and their Chinese factories have very likely been running at maximum capacity pumping out container loads of movie toys.

Naturally, non-movie stuff like MP got pushed to a later date.

 

Though waiting sucks, it's just the nature of the beast. Without the Bay movies and their associated merch, I sincerely doubt HasTak would be as far along in the revamped MP and Generations lines as they are now these days. More funds in HasTak's pockets, more collector-grade swag for us in the long run.

 

So what does the picture of the exo-suit say?

 

Bee has hands that flip out of the forearm. That's what happens when you use a stupid scale to make "masterpiece" toys. You end up with robots with huge gapping holes on the forearms.

That might work for lesser toy lines like the CHUGS... but masterpiece?

On a positive note, it looks like UM will not be a white OP in a suit. Going by that siluethe, you can tell that the rear of the lower legs is very different to those of Prime. So it looks like it will either be a different mold in a carrier suit or hopefully a cab and carrier combo that goes straight to UM without passing the OP stage

 

As opposed to the hollow legs of the lambos or datsuns?

No, he definitely will be a white MP-10 with add-on armour. Hasui designed MP-10 with the aim of making an Ultra Magnus out of it.
The silhouette's thighs match MP-10's. The armour is added onto his lower legs, pelvis, arms, upper torso, and perhaps his back? The only thing we can't tell now is if it'll be a white Prime with an Ultra Magnus head or if his head is a helmet added on over an MP-10 head.

 

I wonder if the wheeljack box artwork will have the Fiat logo or a Lancia logo?

 

Wheel jack was my first TF way back in second grade (84-85).

And I remember hating him so much that I gave him away when I got skywarp.

And that feeling really hasn't changed over the years, but seeing his MP has really turned those feelings around for me.

I can't wait until I get that piece in my grimy hands.

The close up picture of bumblebee' s face makes it look better than any other picture so far, also what is that on th right below the aoe optimus prime pulling mp-10's trailer? Speaking of aoe prime, takara' s paint scheme makes that mold look so much better.

 

Wheeljack is sooo beautiful. He was always my second favorite Autobot car, after Jazz.

 

I've always said, if they give Wheeljack, Jazz, and Prowl the MP treatment, anything afterwards for me is pure bonus...I'm getting 2 out of the 3, and I hope that Jazz will be announced soon!

AUGUST, OH THE WAIT!

 

Such a long wait! Between now and august the only other figures I will porbably get are gen tankormand rattrap. That is a long drought until wheeljack is finally released. Would be nice if we could get some new MP molds earlier in the year rather than later - I have no interest in the repainyts we are getinng/ just got...

 

The more I see of Wheeljack, the more I love it. He's just so beautiful. August needs to get here soon.
