Has anybody ever used Denatured Alcohol to remove the original paint from any kind of Transformers figure?

If so, can it remove the paint without damaging the plastic itself?

Try it on a junker or a factory-painted piece of plastic that's comparable to that of a Transformer.

I find that Isopropyl rubbing alcohol does a great job of removing the paint without destroying the plastic...so far.
