I made a custom rifle for combiner Ironhide and Ratchet. Rifle is based on the platform gun on the G1 toys. Ratchet I used a First Aid with a head I bought on eBay.

Nice! Ironhide's looks smoother than Ratchets, did you print in different material?

 

I'd just call it "Ironhide G1 gun with 5mm peg".
It's more versatile that way, I think.

 

Yes, first one was home printed prototype. Second was Shapeways.

 

I actually designed it when the Combiner Wars Ironhide was released. Of course it also now goes well with Ratchet and the Siege molds.

 

Of course. I mean it might just make it easier to find for people who want it for other figures.

 

I ordered a set of these myself last month to use with my CW Ironhide and radicon custom Smallfoot.
The print was done in White Natural Versatile Plastic which shipped with the rest of the order after five days. Both guns where a little loose in the 5mm ports. This was easy to fix with a drop from a UV Resin pen and sand paper.
Ironhides gun was painted in a gunmetal. Smallfoot in a silver, Black and two blues I mixed together. I mainly wanted one of these for Ironhide since I got him used only coming with his CW Hand/Foot gun. Getting a second for Smallfoot was a bonus.

Don't worry Ironhide I have your back.

Both look great and (in my opinion) work for the character. And Mathewignash, I will also be a returning customer.
I've been looking at getting a second set of Dinobots to repaint into Dinoforce (minus Gairyu) and so many Seekers. Both Normal and Coneheads, so expect an order for six to twelve Seeker Cannons and a Dinoforce Melee Weapons.

 

Those would match well.

Nice! Ive had a junker First Aid for this purpose, but could never find a good head. Great work.
