Since there are so few female Decepticons, let alone ones with toys, I decided to even things up a bit. So I present Swift, best known from IDW's Redemption and Optimus Prime comics: Swift was originally a Studio Series Dropkick and the head and neck came from a GDO Springer that I'd previously made into MTMTE Whirl. While I like this and am proud of the work I did on it, I really don't think it works perfectly. It works well enough, though, with the main problem being her arms and legs end up being in opposite places in the alt mode from where they are in the comic. I'm happy with the compromises I made to get a color scheme that still matches the art somewhat, even if the arms made from the folded tail look awkward. I am looking forward to Siege Barricade, since she doesn't go too well with the one I have already. I just imagine her asking what happened to his face. Anyway, now that I've seen the close-up pictures, I can see all the parts that need touched up that I couldn't see before. I'm going to do that and let the paint cure for a good long time before I transform the figure again.
Yeah, I've heard that before. At least one person I've discussed it with sees GDO Springer, a redeco of Tomahawk, as a decent stand-in for her, so it's at least appropriate I used that head. I feel like Dropkick took a lot of inspiration from the engineering of the Tomahawk mold, though. Everything goes in roughly the same place and the arms work very similarly.
Always welcoming more female Transformers. I wanted to get the mold myself and see if I could make an Airachnid out of it. Awesome work!
Thanks, and I always love a Thew meme! I don't know if this mold can pull off Airachnid. I've been considering recreating this project as her, though: Minor/Repaint: - Generations Shadow storm
