I'm in the same boat, I think I like KFC's Blaster better than most people(especially on here). It isn't perfect, but it does enough things right for me to really enjoy it. Though, I'm not against getting rid of it if this one turns out great! I'm hoping they will also do a blue Billy...I mean Twincast version as well.

Interested to see this in reality. KFC's doesn't look bad--it's just so light weight and always had that unfinished feel to it. Hope this really turns out well--I'll buy one!

Rather than going head-to-head with Takara on stuff, I’d much rather see 3P’s go back to filling gaps that the official line doesn’t seem willing to address.

 

He should come with a tape accessory that plays audio clips* of Blaster's most famous lines...

"Look out and shout!" Cover your receptors perceptor!"... and...I can't remember any others.

But he must have said something else memorable?

It seems to be Transform Element under a new name, who was in-turn Black Mamba under a new name for their 3rd party focus.

 

I don't remember s3 that well...When the US Sci-Fi channel ran it I don't remember blaster being in it much. I may be wrong.

I'm out of the MP market, but I'd make an exception to that in this case...

Gotcha, thanks. Just saw that over in their Starscream thread. I love their Prime and Mirage figures so this is pretty big news.

They know FT will probably release Soundwave round mid Q2~ 2022 so they showed renders now.
1) Diehard FansToys buyers will wait for FT Blaster but might be tempted with a toon pair "sooner than later".
2) Completionists who passed on KFC like me, want an updated toon version, or new collectors will go for this.

3) Because its (likely) TE, price may persuade some to switch out KFC for a low cost until they see what FT does.

 

Okay, now this is interesting. Blaster’s a fairly notable character that surprisingly not enough companies do

 

Hmmm funny how they loose all artistic flair when they don't have TT CAD lines to copy. Looks as stiff and bricky as a house brick, and no it's not just the pose, it's the sculpt. Best thing about it are Starscream's hands.

Hopefully they can channel more TT and bring it to life with some work, cos its nice to fiiiiinally see some less overdone characters, and super nice if they can give FT a slap in the face and get them to come down off their high.

 

You know that they didn't actually copy TT w/ that Starscream right? It's not a KO, not even close. The leg/ rear jet transformation is entirely different, there's no artificial cockpit for the chest and even the head sculpt is different. They simply look similar because they're emulating the same source material.
