Did some fiddling last night. I got the tape section thing stuck. I had to separate the body as it wouldn't come forward again. And the center button didn't move or help. It's fixed now but he will never hold more than 1 tape, which is fine. And my gun has a right bend when looking down from the top. I'll use some boiling water/ heat and fix it up.

 

For goodness sake he's in my town, he arrived in my town at 1am, but he has not gone out for delivery the whole day

 

Probably still out partying like it's 1985!

The local collectors in our group text asked me for the same pic. It didn’t come out as well as yours, most of the lighting in my house is yellow-ish, but my shot was very similar.

 

I changed my apartments bulbs to something a little whiter and brighter because it felt like I just couldn't see with dim yellow lights. I was constantly squinting at a figure 3 inches from my face and it was uncomfortable. Plus the new bulbs draw less power so it's cheaper

 

The G1 still takes me back to when I was riding a school bus lol. DS-002 just makes it crispier.

 

Mine came in from ShowZ and honestly, kinda disappointed. Very cool design and transformation, but this is the cheapest paint and finish I've ever felt even by TE/DS' standards. Paint rub, soft plastic and finger prints in the paint all over. Glad I tried it to know for sure, and it'll fill the spot til FT's releases, but this is not the one.


Great design let down by low quality finish.

 

Looks like you've got a bad copy, it's not really a line-wide issue.

 

I agree with above, I’d see if you could exchange that.

With every DS figure I've gotten, I leave it out of the box for a week - my experience is that the paint doesn't fully cure and it needs a couple of days out of the box, untouched, before being transformed.

I've had to that with all the DS jets and especially with Blaster here.
