Is any one worried they will have to have two different sizes of seekers with ds going? For example if has/tak update thier cone heads or release the likes of acid strom?

 

Thanks for the heads up. I've been keeping up with that side of the world as far as lockdowns and quartines go since I want to go back to Asia as soon as possible. I did log on to their website and said there were finally back to business after June 5th, which is a holiday for them. Hopefully we both get our packages soon.

How long did the whole process take for you from ordering to being shipped? First time buying with Bombusbee and I'm just curious how fast they are.

The existing Takara Coneheads look OK next to the DS seekers. Not perfect but they always had larger heads/faces than the original trio. Even the minor inconsistencies in size though would disappear if you have them on a different shelf.

Don't get me wrong, DS Coneheads would be great and I'd snap them up in a heartbeat, I'm just no longer holding out too much hope.

 

I've been on the sidelines too long, . Missed the TE mirage on sale and now the Skywarp. Not even mad I paid full price for the thundercracker w/ back fillers. Its all part of collecting. But I hate to miss a sale like this by basically 24 hours. I would say that's the number one drawback to the hobby. The short windows of opportunity. At one end is missing a great sale and at the other is missing getting the figure and having to pay the late tax.

 

Does BBB's DS Skywarp and Thundercracker still come with their wing kits??

In any case, I picked up DS Starscream for $84 shipped. I wanted to get it but kept putting it off over and over again. I'm so glad as ShowZ's deal was too good to pass up.

 

You should be able to find them on other sites. Taobao and AliExpress have some available, last I checked.

I'm pretty sure that was WeiJiang, not Black Mamba (they're not the same company afaik). As Ottertron suggested later, it was likely due to BMB planning to release their MPM Blackout KO before the original.

 

That is assuming they were ever going to do this. They didn't do it with the TE Prime and neither with TE Mirage. They seem to be very firmly in the cartoon camp.

Considering the DS seekers are already fully painted, there shouldn't be much difference  

I've considered the option of stripping Starscream's paint completely, earlier posts suggested he's a slightly darker grey underneath, and put a layer of varnish on it to get a similar effect as MP-6/7. This would also make it more durable.

Well, I did say “hoping”, not “expecting”. I’m just not anticipating another Takara Masterpiece purchase for a while. I’m guessing the Skids mold is not a sign of things to come, regardless how successful it appears to have been.

I didn’t realize TE and DS were the same company. I guess I can wait until XTB builds Seekers. I can usually count on them for re-decos.

 

Just bought Sw and TC. The price was too good to pass up. Now I'll have all 6 Seekers!

 

I placed an order from robotoybase for SW and fillers. PayPal sent me an email confirming my payment. I never received an email from them and I don't see it in my orders in my account. Has anyone experienced this before? I've reached out to them via email but no reply as of yet.

 

If they do I will wait till their next drama / mishap, and buy it for 40% off.

Not normal for them to take a week on an in stock item, well that was what it was when I ordered. Anyway, I’m happy they have come through.

 

Damn! A lot of the sales for DS-01 and variants are already sold out. Now I’m not going to pay the higher prices for the figures.. and the KO MP52s are on sale as well. But IDGAFF about the MP-52s and absolutely REFUSE to buy any of them because regardless of them being modified better TT seekers, to me the MP52 is wholly inferior to the DS01 and I absolutely will not buy it nor recommend it to anyone. If you want an MP seeker there’s none better than the DS versions. So those KOs can just rot on shelves for all I care. Now I’m on a mission to locate cheaper DS seekers and purchase them. Those sites and sellers still selling above $150.00 ain’t getting my money and Unless they discount like Showzstore and TFexpress then they’re stock should just sit there. Yea this post conveys my frustration.. I just don’t care how cheap those MP52 KOs go. They’re just inferior products and not worth it. This is probably one of the few times the third party did it way better. MP52 was a waist of plastic. The design to me is just stupidly it of proportion and IDC how much extra CRAP came with them, they’re still an inferior over priced mold that can’t compare to that of the DS seekers. I’m just pissed they do this price reduction and it sold out like hot cakes. To the scalpers who bought them at discount and are now selling them at double the price or triple.. keep your stock! I ain’t paying that price either and you can get bent. (Being PG with my rant here) so right now I’m just furious and also not happy about this. I suppose all I can do is watch for sales and keep an eye on restocks.

but again F-the MP52 KO sales.. they can keep those. DS is the definitive Seeker mold I want. Including the backpack upgrades.
