I just really hope Fanstoys comes out with a seeker mold soon so no one has to use tinyhead Maketoys. MP-52, DS-01, and a FT seeker are gonna be a lit combo.

I got the KFC a month ago and love them. A bit fiddly, to be sure, but great overall. They're on sale over at ShowZ right now for $144.

Flightpose makes the one for planes.

Don't remember who made the other one, but it isn't being made anymore from what I recall.

If they are smart, FT will release the coneheads first since MT is never gonna release the remaining CHs, then they'll have suckered us in for the original 3.

Bad? Its unconventional, sure, and certainly more involved than most others. The stiff joints and the risk of scratching don't help either, but those are not actually aspects of the transformation design.
But when I come to look at it, it all makes sense, and everything is robust enough to allow for the intutive approach. No needlessly over-engineered delicate structures to rely on (looking at you, XTB!) or real world physics-defying parts that have to pass through each other (though I still like FT Arcee and Kup), all around straighforward and solid connections, making for a complex (ok, make that very complex) 3D puzzle. I must say, I enjoy it no end! (But I certainly won't try to do it in a hurry, mind you :)  )

The way the arms fold into the legs is pretty innovative and ingenious! Also this must be the first Seeker mold ever that doesn't go through various hoops to get rid of leg length in vehicle mode, but instead even extends them...
The part redistribution and locking mechanisms (aside maybe from the outer leg panels) are very effective, making for two outstandingly solid and coherent modes.

If the same designer(s) were to make more figures, and possibly without the shoddy rush job signs all over it (can you believe they didn't even manage to properly stick the tape across the open edges when securing the clamshell on mine), definitely count me in!

Joining the crowd of Fedex holding my skywarp hostage in new berlin. Did get my thundercracker, other than the back filler not sitting quite flush and the too tight null rays/sprue marks absolute beauty. Now if only Skywarp would come home so I can finish the trio.

I love DS-01 and was seriously pondering picking up the other two, but a quick skim of the thread hasn't filled me with confidence. There are paint problems with them, right? Any other issues I should be worried about?

from what ive experienced first hand some minor scuffing that just seems to happen with matte paint and some joints being too tight here and there but otherwise theyre more affordable than the takaras by a fair margin and look great to boot.

TC definitely has more sprue marks if those are a thing that annoys you. Tolerances are tighter on the latter two and I had to loosen a few joints with a screwdriver, notably the ankle thrusters. Paintwise mine are both essentially perfect. There's a very minor defect on my TC's forearm but it's the kind you really have to go looking for. TC has very chalky-feeling paint although this does not actually seem to correlate to it being less durable, it's just a side effect of the more matte finish. And skywarp's black is so sexy, lush and perfect you'll never be happy with any other black toy ever again.

That's about all the problems I can think of.

I'm perfectly happy with all three of mine. Skywarp and TC are no more blemished or flawed than my Starscream.

Some people have issues. Most don't. There's a lot of info in this thread about people's experience with the figures. I'd read through it.
