For my MP-47 it took them well over a week from printing out the label to actually taking it to the PO which they managed to do wrong as it was returned 3 times. Its exceptionally unlikely I will use TF-Direct again.

That looks amazing. I want it.

Sorry if this is slightly off topic but was watching Arise Atlantis last night and saw an additional weapon that I have never seen Starscream use before. It is similar to the chest missiles but it is in his right forearm.

I wonder if it would be feasible to integrate that feature into a future release without affecting transformation.

My shipment from Show-Z hasn't had any movement since the 14th. Is this common or should I contact them?

It's my experience that ShowZ's shipping partners do a poor job of updating where the item is, but the product always arrives.

_DSC5829.jpg null.JPG Using the MP-11 Null Ray as reference I've modelled up one in CAD and 3D printed it. I'm going to try and use Naval Grey to colour match hopefully after a bit more sanding. If you want the STL CAD file I've uploaded to Thingiverse: Masterpiece Seeker Starscream Null Ray by bugste81
    Regards

Thank you so much for sharing!! Haven't touched my printer in a while, but these look rad! Also kudos to all the people giving away STLs and SCADs to the community. It ain't easy and quick making 3D models!

Just got mine today, it looks and feels great, the only thing I wish is that it included more faces, now need to wait for a coronation kit.

I wish it came with a little Dr Archevile to sit in the cockpit, but I think I might still have mine from Walmart Starscream. Just not sure if he’ll fit.

Having both DS-01 and MP-52, I think DS-01 is the better overall figure. For me, the size, color (lighter) and stability of the figure really stand out.

The biggest issue with MP-52 is the weak knee ratchets; he has articulation, but he can't often hold those poses because he's extremely top heavy and the knees can't hold their position. On the other hand, DS-01 is really well balanced; his center of gravity is much lower and the knee ratchets hold more weight.

Although I love the cherry red of MP-52, most of that paint is on the diecast sections in the abdomen and pylons and chips very easily.

In terms of sculpt, I prefer the narrower chest and curves of MP-52, as well as the implementation of the ab crunch. DS-01, however, has a much better sculpted lower body/legs, back and wing articulation. Together, I think this gives him a significant edge in presence and sculpt. Also, the contrast between the lighter shade of grey and red/blue make him stand out and be more visually interesting.

As someone who prefers MP-44 over TE-01 (I have both), I think the situation with DS-01 vs. MP-52 is very different. DS-01 is clearly the better figure in my opinion.

Anyhow, hope this helps someone make a decision.

I do worry a smidge about the paint. I saw pics of some scrapes from transformation. And while it was completely intentional, I scraped the paint off the null rays pegs by constantly twisting them back & forth until the squeaking stopped.

What I’m saying is that the paint looks really nice, but I do have concerns of long term durability. Anyone know enough about paint to make suggestions? Should we spray the figure down with anything?

I feel like any sort of topcoat is more likely to exacerbate the problem. By making the fit on all the parts even tighter, it's even more likely to chip.

i'm tempted to buy a second one so i can just go ham-fisted transforming him. I sweaaaar by the lords of Cthulu that i was super extra careful with the wings... but yesturday i just noticed some tiny whiney paint scratches. SO i think its unavoidable you're gonna get paint scruffs unles syou decide never to transform him. There is no longterm durability with the paint on this guy.

That said, i've transformed him enough that i actually am enjoying the transforming process for him. i change my transformation rating of him from a 5/10 to a 6/10!

I'm going to maybe transform this once just for the experience and then keep my old Meteor in alt mode.

Now if they release a coronation kit afterwards, will it attach to this or do you need to remove it to its original state to install it? o_O

I have not seen Starscream do this in the show. It could be a miscoloured Thundercracker or Skywarp animation error.
