When you get used to the transformation, how long do you think it would take to transform on average?

Yeah, I canceled my gamestop TC after receiving him. I'm down for the trio, but holding out hope that MT finish their coneheads. I like the bit of diversity there.

Like others, I'm gonna make MP11 standalone as coronation SS and keep MP3 WM as jet mode.

If the heads on MT were just a smidge bigger or DS just a smidge smaller there would be no issues at all.
I have Acid Storm and Dirge for MT and I’m not replacing them. So here’s hoping the MT cone heads get finished.

I’ll let you know. Looking like I wont have time to do the transformation until tomorrow.

14 minutes to transform it, 1 minute to hold your head and mutter, "I don't want to do this again."

Mine came today and he’s pretty great. The transformation going from not to jet wasn’t much fun. Lots of referencing videos and pictures. But going back to not wasn’t too bad. Several people have mentioned the feel of the plastic and the paint. He reminds me a lot of Magic Square Light of Freedom.

My only real down side is three faces and none of them talking or screaming. If there was ever a bot that needed a face with his mouth open it was Starscream.

I got mine today no paint issues and no damage. He is quite sturdy and can hold any pose I put him into. The null rays were a little tight so I will likely need to sand those down a little but other than that no complaints. I have him posed with my Soundwave and Shockwave just waiting for my Megatron to arrive to complete the shelf. I just started collecting recently mostly due to this guy. The first tome I saw him I just needed to get him as Starscream was a childhood favorite. Going to try the transformation tomorrow as work today was stressful enough.

Opened mine a few mins ago and I'm slightly disappointed. His right lat has a small but noticable paint smudge (I've had FAR worse on official MP's), almost like the paint was not cured when they assembled it. Not major enough for me to as for a replacement piece but enough to annoy me. Other than that he looks really good even a tad bit bigger than what I was anticipating. Over all a solid 7.5/10 for me but the best Starscream to date

How can you tell? Paint bridges? Or is it still curing?

Glad to hear you're mostly happy :)

Experience. I'm a commercial GC so I do a fair bit of painting on many mediums. Long story short the smudge looks like a ripple in a pond so that tells me the paint was cured to the touch but not fully cured so it was either applied too thick or handled too soon and as the rest of the paint looks fine I'm guessing it was the latter. I mean sure, there could have been other reasons like the part being dirty which didn't allow the paint to adhere and cure to it but in this case I don't think so.

Anyways, everything feels fine, paint wise (its now fully cured) and the transformation was pretty awesome especially as I haven't watched any videos or read the instructions. I am the kind of guy that enjoys transforming MP-5 so I may be a sadist.

Dude... Sorry you got that. Hopefully its mostly contact transfer and will clean up but if not you're able to get a replacement

There it is. Not the most smooth process (little clearance sometimes) and the fact that you have to constantly watch not to scratch the paint makes it more stressful but overall - not that bad. Luckily the paint is more durable than I first expected :)  I noticed no further issues after I got him back into the robot mode.

But speaking of paint, I have a qc issue :(  One of the panels was left unpainted. Funny that if it was just a bit lower I'd almost consider it more cartoon accurate :lol  pobrane.jpg Worst part is, that's a rather intergral piece so it'll take some effort and dissasembling to replace it, even if ShowZ will send a new one

But other than that - he's great!

I think the color of the bare plastic looks pretty good. I do like paint but I wonder how he would of looked unpainted with only having painted the die cast part to match. It looks like a shade that's a happy medium between DS-01 & MP-52. That's too bad you got such a noticeable part unpainted, now there is three shades going on in jet mode. I guess they didnt use primer since the die cast part is showing much lighter..

DS-01 has that premium look compared to TE-01 but the unpainted plastic also looks alright :)  I could live with it and worry less about paint chipping. Perhaps he'd cost less too.

I really do love the way he looks! I was worried the faction decals would clash with their gloss but they fit in nicely and creased them into the panel lines they overlapped so that detail is in them making them really look like they belong there.

Are those the decals that came with him? I bought mine from TerryTFSClub and it came with a sticker sheet of decals. But they looked a little small to me.

They do go together better than I thought. DS-01 feels like an updated/upgraded version of MT-11. I'll still replace them all with DS, but for now they look fine together.

I'm also considering the MP52 KO just because LOL
