I like planes a lot (casually, I'm not in the air force or anything). This guy is a really good F-15. There are some tiny inaccuracies on this guy like the vertical stabilizers should be located more towards the posterior, and the cockpit should be shifted towards the anterior (for visibility, since the F15 is an air superiority fighter). Overall though... yeah. Really good so far.

Hmmmmmm. Not as good as I was expecting. Very surprised it needed to be just as thick as MP-52, if not slightly thicker, without the fake parts and covers to carry around. I eat my words there! I guess the canopy doesn't open due to how it is cut up for bot mode, but meh don't really matter. I hoped they'd just make the vertical stabilizers thick enough to carry the hinges without a load of cylindrical bulges - like FT Pheonix's wing tips and flaps, but sadly not. Wouldn't have minded the toon accurate grey blocks on top to break up the grey. Con symbols will help there I guess. Maybe just the lighting or it's not final, but I don't like the fact you can't even tell the difference between the white stripe and the main body. Should be white and grey.

On the plus side - it's a pretty decent F-15 sculpt on top. I appreciated the machine gun window and asymmetric tail fin and tail boom tips of MP-52, but wont miss them too much here. Back of the jet cleaner than MP-52 as MP-52 just has so much panel break-up on the mid back section that is quite gappy. That's a big plus.

Enthusiasm blunted a little - I reeeeeeeally thought they'd get the alt mode at least MP-11 thin. But still good enough I want rainmakers, etc in this mould. Any news on price?

jet mode is way better than 52. it may be a tad fat (but they all have been mp-03 hid it the best but 3 and 11 were also fat), but its not fat and also pregnant looking too at the same time like 52. might be the overall best seeker mode. too bad there is no waist swivel (or at least not shown so far?). MT still has it beat there unless i'm wrong about the waist swivel.

The sculpt is fantastic. The color is too white.

Luckily, I own mp52 and I plan on this being Skywarp. Hopefully this company makes that color.

Good enough for me to PO. The final paint and quality will determine whether I keep it though.

Yeah, DS messed up there. The 1980s F-15 and F-15Es have asymmetrical ferrings. The symmetrical ferrings are seen only on the F-15EX (which is recently adopted). Whoever modeled this likely had no idea of the differences (which is fine, not everybody needs to know about military aircraft lol).

Edit: As another user pointed out, this is modeled on the F-15J not the F-15EX!

    See 5:45ish if you're curious!

Jet looks good, if they can pull a TE-01 and add a nicer head that looks closer to MP-52 at release I might be into it.

It has waist swivel. There's a pic from the original reveal with crunch and swivel - definitely both.

Actually F-15J - Mitsubishi produced Japanese variant also has symmetrical tail fin tips. It's not a big stretch to imagine they are based on a J, and original G1 Diaclone toys may have been, just in cartoon canon Teletran was looking for alt mode ideas at a US military base :) , so I appreciated MP-52 having details of a US model.

I'm curious to see @David Hingtgen's analysis but overall I like it. As others have pointed out, he's too thick under the jet, but that's pretty much typical of Transformers that turn into jets. Love those transforming null ray/missiles. Need to see the price but I'm pretty sure these will replace my main three seekers.

Oh and it looks like I may have to eat my words once again. I can see a seam down the middle of the nosecone and a hinge on the side. Looks like it may split and fold to the sides a la Newage Screamer.

The whose nose/cockpit area looks like it works just like the NA Seekers, including the back part of the cockpit that does a 180.

Alt mode looks pretty good. The underbelly looks less bulky than the MP-52.

Yup, you're right. If you look closely at the engine nozzles, they seem to be the original old-style F15 nozzles. So I guess the designers got a lot more right than I thought at first glance. Good stuff.

    YES, it's better than MP-52. I believe DST's F15 would be the definitive F15 alt-mode
