Watches a video where the paint in the pegs needed to be sanded off and a bit of the plastic to make it fit.

With all of us getting an MP-52, DS-01 or both. Does anyone have an old Hasbro MP-11 junker laying around?

I simply used a knife to gently scrape the paint off of the null ray posts. It came off pretty easily. I didn’t have to sand anything. They still fit very snug on his arms and less snug on his wings (but still hold just fine). I was afraid that sanding the posts might end up making them too loose.

Very common issue. Most folk seem to be using shock oil, but I gave them a little sand for a more permanent solution. Very easy to sort, luckily.

Ok... Just bought from ShowZ. I was on the fence, but the pictures in the thread really sold me on it.

That looks like the screw that holds the leg slider together when you open the lower leg. Since it's only one holding it all together, I think the leg would fall apart if it was out so I'd say you got an extra.

Transformed mine back to Robot mode, those shoulder/arm joints are really the worst part of the experience.

Luckily not a lot of paint chipping throughout the method, there's some but they're mostly on hidden edges where most of the forced contacts go. Some paint rub as well but easily remedied with an eraser.

Now to wait for some Decepticon logos to slap on him...

So after several days of having DS-001, I have to say, despite design flaws, it's the best G1 Starscream on the market for me.

Its display presence in bot mode is magnificent. It has just enough heft in-hand to inspire the feeling I associate with a premium level toy.

I wonder what the next Starscream toy that surpasses DS-001 will be like. It'll probably feel like a quantum leap like going from MP-10 to TE-01.

I bought him today. He looks damn good. Like someone wrote: a hybrid of MTs Meteor and TTs MP-52.

My old MP-11 needs an upgrade and I hope DS also plans to release Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstrom and Acid Rain at some point as well.

Haha, first time I have seen this image. Instantly makes me think that Starscream is biplane. Yeah, this pose sucks.

I do love this DS Screamer, but the transformation isn't great. I do have to say that TT definitely has a lot of issues, but transformations are usually pretty smooth, even when they are super complicated. I kinda want to get the MP-52 KO just to experience the transformation even though I'm not a fan of the figure in either mode.

Nope. DS is taller than Takara's Shockwave.

Straightening their legs makes no difference either.

I forgot how submissive and breedable Takara's Shockwave is. I miss my Quakewave. THAT was a hefty boy.
