You can still hide them but only from the transmog system and not from the interface menu. Getting a new armor piece will have to be xmoged as well. Annoying when i get new shoulders and it does not match my look. Bah!

Also you can save armor sets in the xmog menu for fast access to a different look. Finally you can also set a armor set for your different specs so when you swap to a off spec your armor can change to what you want it to be (ie I have my warrior in a chain mail bikini for fury and swap out for full plate for tanking).

Hell at the moment i cannot hide my combat damage (kinda break the immersion feeling and its annoying to me). Remember we got like 2 months before the patch so things are subject to change.

 

Ahh I see, thats cool then! I honestly don't fuss too much about my mog while leveling unless I'm in downtime. Then again, WoD threw gold my way so I do own the Yak mount this time  

I don't like the whole "paying to change spec" thing, but I guess it's a way to manage gold (you never have to pay to go back to your main spec, but a small cost for the others unless you queue for a raid/dungeon, in which case you'll automatically be in the spec you select for that instance for free).

A friend who has access offered me to have a play about on it earlier on, but I couldn't bring myself to do it! I've unsubbed as of this month and want to go back when it's fresh and exciting to me! (thats what I'll keep telling myself  )

 

This past weekend for my Pally I finally got my last piece for my T2 set and my T12 (Heroic) set. Planning to try get the T12 (Normal) set next.

Question, is there a price to transmog in Legion?

 

Yeah, yes the same cost as it is now from what I hear.

 

Honestly, leveling as a tank class now is easier than ever: your dungeons pop almost instantly and with the heirlooms you do enough DPS to kick the arse of most quest mobs.

Healer leveling is still a bit of a pisser but once you get dual spec you're aces.

See I cannot fathom the logic in that decision: for years, indeed over a decade, the option to hide cloak and helm has been in the options menu. Taking it away to transmog only instead of just adding 'Hide Shoulders' underneath it smacks of well, being petty and vindictive if I'm honest.

Also I don't mind paying for Transmog, but I really think a system similar to Star Wars: The Old Republic where you have separate costume/cosmetic slots that auto-mogs over whatever goes into their corresponding armour slot.

 

Well due to some hotfixing (and the shutdown of the npcs of Dalaran sewers) I was able to get some beta play time in. Headed back to Val'Shara to pick up where I had not been able to complete. So far the zone is fun and full of Druid lore. There was still some issues with how the area "levels with you." I hit 104 and the mobs started smacking me HARD with 100k white damage and with some input lag issues I got laid out by a freakin' treant with 1 mil hp. Rez and the sucker was about 600k hp. Overall I am on the last segment of the lore achievement and feel that the zone is half finished. There is a worgen city that you help with, mostly becoming a breadcrumb quest arc for helping Jarod Shadowsong finding his sister Maiev (aka the LOONY Warden. Read "Wolfheart" for details.... hell read "Stormrage" for details on the Nightmare). Might have some endgame stuff there since all the zone will level with you for the most part.

Tried to complete the Air Elemental Lord quest for the Shaman class halls. Failed badly due to it being broken in the not so good way AND in a nice, semi-exploitable, way. We are sent to the Windwall dungeon, with the lost and broken THUNDERFURY in a quest to get Thundarian resurrected. The NPCs don't work correctly and the slipstreams needed to move around the old cata dungeon are not working. The exploitable thing is the enemy mobs give a shitton of xp. 5k while rested and the shaman NPC assigned to you can 1shot any of them. Yeah I ran around alot to get some juicy xp while seeing if I could complete that bloody quest.

Decided to try out some of the new changes for glyphs. Since the system is now toast the glyphs that survived are now spell modification you add to existing spells in your spell book. Right click one and the spellbook opens to the corresponding page and the spell to be modded is glowing. The glyph is now permanently apart of it unless you use a different glyph on it (ie glyph of spectral ghost wolf vs glyph of spectral raptor changed Ghost Wolf into a spectral wolf and raptor respectively but only 1 can be active).

 

I'd race change to troll Druid if they had cosmetic dino glyphs for all the shapeshifting. I loved the dinomancers in throne of thunder

 

Been trying to complete the Raiding with Leashes achievements.

Luckly got the Vicidous pet after only one run which completed that one.

Cant get Solorius to drop her pet even though ive ran that raid over 2 dozen times now.

And im hoping the big face from BT drops the 3 pets at once if it does drop lol.


And for the movie. I was hoping Blizzard would have a store sale. I wanted pick up some mounts. Oh well, maybe when Legion drops they will.

 

I've been trying to reach rank 8 in the Brawler's Guild so I can get the Heirloom fist weapon, and maybe the mount. Ranks 1-6 are fairly straight forward with the occasional loop like the boss that is literally like playing Snake on an old Nokia.

Rank 7-8, however is a bastard. Nothing scales so a raider in HFC gear will probably be fine but it isn't for the under-geared.

 

Yeah I barely raided in WoD so won't even bother touching Brawlers Guild. I heard there was a way to cheese everything as Brewmaster by pooping all your cool downs to get your HP stupidly high and then using Touch of Death on the target but whatever.

I think they can only drop one at a time? I got them all the same week using 3 characters so it wasn't too bad. For some of the older more annoying raids I just bought the pets, couldn't be arsed running that chess game every week  
You collect pets? With nothing to do in WoD I really got into pet battling, managed to get 640ish diff one so far!

 

Okay kiddies I'm casting resurrection on this thread because the Legion pre-patch dropped last night. I had a brief look at the new Xmog system and its a little annoying in that I think it may level restrict you on certain gear but I'll have a proper look tonight and figure it out. New character slot added for the Demon Hunters that will undoubtedly pop up in a months time. Some changes to SW, and all the cash money rewards from Garrisons are gone. I also think you only get resources from salvage now, not gear.

 

And I managed to break both Dragon Soul and my Garrison tonight. Yay!  

 

Some stuff so far:

With the transmog, if you think an item is missing, logon to ALL your toons - I don't think an appearance is added until you do that. Alternatively, try logging onto a top level toon that can use that item: they are level and/or class restricted.

Also, if there's been a big change to your spec, the Death Knight's Frost for example, you will receive replacement items - mainly weapons - to compensate you.

 

I actually started the game a week ago or so, and my Brewmaster Monk got a free staff (And a completely wiped Action bar, also) in response to how much it changed.

Anyways, the game has been really fun, although waiting for all of the add-ons I use is irritating. I miss Dugi.

 

Got the Fashionista title after loging onto 3 toons.
Spent an hour going over my transmog assets for the best look pre-Legion.
Spent 2 hours cleaning out my bank and void storage, selling off my old armor sets that had money value. Only on my Shaman. I need to go do that on my alts.
Over a month until I get Doomhammer. Damn the waiting!
Dropped Engineering in favor of taking up Mining again. From experience on the beta getting the Blood of Sargaras, new crafting reagent, was easier from mining. Got to 100/700 skill and need to max that out before Legion hits. I need 10 of the bloods for a Class Hall mission and I am the main Jewelcrafter for my guild so I will need more to get the nice +500 unique stat gems for my guildies.

Spent yesterday clearing my bank gear and saving transmog sets. Still dont like having to go to Mr. Transmog to hide helm/shoulder/back items. Saved the items that have fun "use" functions and gear i cant use but think they look cool lol

Finally tried running Throne of the Four Winds and Onyxia' Lair today...I need to learn my rotations. My kill time took way longer.

Bad enough my gear aint good enough, struggling running Tanaraan before, now i dont even want to try yet.

The quest log and map is broken. Cant even see where im at or what quests I got. Guess no running leveling alts til the fix.

My framerate dropped big time too since the patch :/

 

Lucky for me, my Paladin is a miner/blacksmith, Shaman is herbalist/alchemist and hunter is skinning/leather working so I figure I'll be okay.

I changed a bunch of random gear tonight cause of how MM stat priorties changed, and I found some things thru Item Redemption, so my stats aren't perfect, but alot better. Pretty Much BM and MM changed there stats over to each other, with BM. Feels weird using a trinket from Kaz, best I can do. My Mythic Warforge Tyrant Censer POS now, same with my Mythic Socketed Blademaster, meh. No Titanforge for me yet, seen plenty of it within guild already though.

 

Framerate always chugs nuts after a pre-expansion patch since lots of people are jumping on to check on changes, use the new features, start the pre-quests etc.

Wrath was worse because of that stupid zombie invasion turned every capital city into a fucking post-apocalypse area - except Darnassus for some reason.

So far my only real disappointments were that I couldn't complete Brawlpub and get the Heirloom fist weapon, hence a load of my mog items aren't much good. The other, and I realise I'm being petty as shit about this, is that I had hoped that once an item was in the wardrobe you could use it full stop, end of story. Sadly the kept the rule about needing to be at the item's equip level to mog it. There goes my dream of leveling a new paladin in Judgement gear
