I excitedly opened my AM Thundercracker and had the bags sitting on the table. I went to open TC's bag and noticed one of his rocket pods was missing. Nowhere in the taped bag. Or box. Or other bags. These are glued on, so the factory just didn't put it on... After all this time, I don't want to ship it back, wait two weeks for them to get it, then another two weeks to get it back... I've got the figure sitting in front of me, begging to be stickered up and micron wanting free, and I can't do anything until I hear from RK. Do they usually send parts or are they a pain to deal with? I've never had a problem with anything I bought from them before, so now I'm worried...
Sometimes, you have to keep at them frankly. Send them an email with the order number, and a picture of the problem if it helps. if you don't hear back from them after three days, post on their Facebook, with the order number, asking them to reply.
These acronyms are getting out of hand, I thought this thread was going to be about Action Master Thundercracker and was going to be all like "I can't get him to transform, I think mine's defective!" You could try and get in touch not only with the retailer you bought it from but the manufacturer, but if you're not fluent in that language, communication (and thus, solving your problem) could be a big issue.
Takara's track record on warranties for non Asia market residents hasn't been great for some time, IIRC.
That Arms Micron is taunting me... I want to open it up and sticker them up, but I'm not sure what RK will want to do...
Just email them with the order number and everything, the problem and pictures. Don't leave out a detail and hope the email back quickly. Not 100% on their policies but if they don't get back to I'd email every day until they reply. It can't hurt and with an exclusive item like this it's inexcusable.
From what I've heard in the third party forums, RK doesn't have the best track record with customer service. Sometimes you'll get lucky and they will be super helpful, other times they'll just ignore your emails and it'll be like pulling teeth to get any help.
yeah overseas returns can be a pain. however as a company they should honor it or refund you and take a loss on their end. because they might have you pay shipping to return and reimburse you for it like tfsource does and who knows how long that can take as well. hope it works out for you.
I bought something from them that was missing a part also, about 6 months ago. I e-mailed them about it, and they responded pretty quickly, asking for a photo. I sent it, and they mailed me the part- got it within a few weeks. So, my experience was very good! Hope your issue gets resolved as easily! Good luck!
