Honestly, I hope we never see the flames again. I don't hate the idea of Optimus having flame decals, but it doesn't really suit his character at all. Nowhere has Optimus been portrayed as a guy who wants to look flashy and stand out, even in the movie universe.

Although I think this design still looks better with flames than the first trilogy design did. My main problem with that design isn't the flames, it's just that it looks kind of lanky and awkward.

You know what this design needs? A kind of a paintjob where the truck and the trailed are covered in pinup girls too. For the better disguise, ofc.

I'm surprised Bay didn't slap that on his Prime.

No please. Let's leave that terrible Basic Broptimus Prime in the past with Bay and the rest of their cheesy nonsense. :)

I'm personally relieved to finally have an Optimus again that I don't have spend 10 years assuming probably blares shitty Nickleback vs Skrillex mash-ups out his windows, going to Nascar tailgate parties, chugging Bud and getting tribal arm band tattoos around his flames while wearing a John Deer trucker hat.

The first film was also over tens years ago and using at-the-time newer, less refined HD cameras and shit. I mean you stick TF 07 on HD DVD and that movie looks ancient even compared to something that came out only a year or two later.

Really? I think it still holds up, looks perfectly realistic. Also…HD cameras? WTH? Film has had higher resolution than HD for decades…if you're talking about the actual HD DVD transfer of course that's going to look worse, it's HD DVD. Compare the 4K HDR Re-release to a movie that was released in 4K originally, looks great.

It looks cool... But it doesn't work for this design. Great edit though!

Actually not that bad. That part just above the waist needs to be red, though - as it is, that solid block of blue looks like he's wearing pants way too high up his body.

It's not bad. But there is too much blue.

For some reason I've always felt like first trilogy Optimus looks vaguely like he's wearing pajamas. Kind of like the new Superman. Granted movie Optimus has more color, but it's dispersed fairly evenly, which gives his body a uniform look. I think that's one of the reasons I prefer classic Optimus, I like the distinct line between his red upper body and blue lower body.

Not going lie, This look of Prime does scream a mix of Travis's work as well Bay's. I could imagine this being used in the future. If they ever considered. But in the end, All I can say. I love the concept of this. Well done Goblin. Well done.
