Having the Decepticons fly is hardly more ridiculous than magic blood, or that phase shifter shit.

It's endowed with spark-reviving powers that operate on a specific wavelength, that does not interfere with normal spark activity if flowing through a healthy spark, but does if encountering a spark powered by its opposite wavelength—normal energon.

And, while you're explaining nonsense, laser vision, x-ray vision, and invincibility.

I dont have to explain anything :sly2:

I was just pointing out the irony of the statement that "magical flight" is such BS, but "mystical zombie raising crystals" is OK :thumbs2:

In both cases its just comic book powers that we accept to suspend disbelief in order to enjoy the stories.

Because the animation team didn't have the budget to do three new models for Skyquake/Dreadwing (and Wheeljack and Airachnid) for their non-Earth mode selves that would have been used for one episode each - two for Skyquake and Dreadwing. They all came with Earth mode kibble even before scanning.

My best in-show guess would be that residing in stasis for so long had somehow left Skyquake a blank slate when it came to alt-modes, almost like how the movie-bots need to scan a new alt-mode when landing planet-side.

I don't remember dark energon being called "mystical" or "magical" in the show. It's just a corrupted form of energon. When a transformer's spark dies, the body looses it's power source. Dark energon replaces that power source and the body is reanimated, but it no longer has a mind.

It doesn't have to be "mystical" in order to make sense.

I honestly prefer that Transformers can only fly if they have a flying alternate mode or a built-in jetpack like Optimus Primal in BW
