I've made a few tweeks to the colours on some of the figures in my decepticon legends collection most are pretty true to what they should be but wasn't happy with a few. First up Hasbros Insecticons as when I got them they were the only viable option, of course some then you can get perfect cartoon accurate ones oh well. I used tamiya acrylic chrome on any of the dull grey plastic areas also Kick backs wings. Bright red eyes, silver faces, gun metal grey on Bombshells upper body and shoulders then matched in the yellow so they are the same. With the mft Reflector trio I just added silver to their faces, arms, also red for the eyes generally quite happy with them anyway. I got a cheap ko set of the Constructions not expecting to much from them but was actually pretty impressed, just mainly there bot modes that needed a little tune up. Using tamiya acrylic smoke I washed in any details i could find on the green areas then wiped away the excess to give a shadowy/dirty look. Added chrome details to, faces, chest areas, tank treads, upper legs then blacked out a few of the fists, finally touched in red details including eyes. Originally I brought these cheap Starscream kos for repaints of Skywarp and Thundercracker but then ended up getting the mft set so picked my favourite 3 other seekers Hotlink, Acidstorm and Sunstorm, I painted these guys up ages ago but recently went back and added more details like lighter areas to Sunstorm plus some orange, completely changed the shade on Acidstorm with more lighter details glad I did as they look loads better. Hotlink actually came with a broken arm peg so though he has a flamethrower in the cartoon so better off in hand, then why not have 2? Double the firepower lol. Going to make a small flame tank for his back and hoses to connect to his flamethrowers in the future like the cartoon. Runamuck and Runabout are repaints of ko Rodimus primes with slight head modifications, I took thecaxe that came with them and cut areas and rearranged to try and resemble Runabouts actual gun. I was happy with Runabouts turn out but Runamuck went really wrong I used a tamiya acrylic white base but it went funny like a bad reaction, recently tryed stripping it down and tryed again with different paint, it's still not great but you cant have one of these guys without the other. Finally Soundwave when I wanted him you couldn't for love or money get a blue hot soldiers or any legends Soundwave, ended up getting the black version thinking it would be nice to have one like the headmasters cartoon but other time it kept bugging me so ended up getting repainted too. And here they are with the rest of the gang, please excuse the g1 in there it's just at present there are no legends for them personally I think the stunticons work quite well. Mft are bringing out a lush Astrotrain so I'm sure the other triple changers will follow. Magic square are making Stunticons but will they ever be out?????
Thank you, yeah I just wanted to see how he would look with them guess I gave up waiting for someone to make some legend stunticons still cant believe with all the great toys from all the many companies it's still not been done. I'm sure it would sell from the interest on the magic square thread and seeing iron factory's Combaticons its definitely doable.
That is true, I never thought they would do my favourite Astrotrain then I saw the pre order the other day on Ebay and its exactly how I wanted him to be
