    Hello,
Thanks to Anovasinn I finally have the car body I needed for so long to go with my big Gundam for the frame. I'm in the planning phase to "attempt" a recreation of Patrick Boivin's Decepticon General Lee that he made for "Jazz with a General Problem"... you know the one I mean?

I hope to hang around here (as suggested by Anovasinn many many months ago) to pick up some tips as this is probably me biting off more than I can chew.

The component materials for this project will probably add up to around 100USD which is a lot for me, so I don't know if that is a lot for a 1st time project, but in any case I kinda don't want to screw this up.

Any advice is greatly appreciated. I don't even know how to start this thing off to be honest... or how long this will take.

    Could be awesome though...

Are you going to make yours transformable? As I recall his transformation was a cheat. It's an awesome video, don't get me wrong, but it's not a practical transformation.

that/s a great video. he's a great guy (Patrick) got some serious SM skills. Like Tom said though, the one he used was actually not transformable, and was 2x the size of Jazz (there's a "making of" video on his channel...

hmm. have you considered making him a double-wide trailerbot? you could put some torn up autobot cars on the lawn, which could be strewn with empty mayonnaise bottles.

Naturally I have absolutely no intention of making him transformable since the "original" was never able to legitimately transform either. I just want a 12 inch tall and highly pose-able, mean looking Decepticon General Lee robot that looks as close to what Boivine made as I can manage.

He did not make that. He's trying to make his own version of the General Lee robot in that video.

Too bad he won't transform. Now that would be something.

Now they need to change the theme song to "juast a bad ol' boy" :)

Hey you guys who asked... it would be simply IMPOSSIBLE to make it in any way transformable. Lets get that right out of the way entirely. Dream on...
