    Nice, I agree with that strategy and had success doing it but someone always drops the ball and we go to hell shortly after. Scrapmaker is actually in A4 which I know is what you meant but have you considered or tried doing the opposite?

    That is setting up shop in C4 (energon station inside) and opening up all of the A row doors to the Overshield? I think C4 provides better cover in terms of shooting it out with 2 block/pillar setups which is a crucial element to surviving at times should someone sneak in...

    I have noticed that DLC #1 maps each have a room where no enemy dare to enter save the Brute (District, Forsaken) which is something the first maps and the DLC #2 maps are lacking. So, they require you to be constantly on the move and leave little room for relaxing.

    @transtrekkie

    It's a map for Remnant (Decepticon).

    The opposite side (C4) doesn't work as well and here's why:

    - The C4 room only has energon cube, EMP grenades and the scrapmaker. EMP grenades are nice but they're a bit more expensive than thermo grenades. Plus thermo grenades can help fish out surprise enemies appearing in your camp area from the spawn point in the room. With the nearest ammo dispenser down in the C3 room, you'd have to risk wading through a crowd of enemies. Even with Demolisher on your team with the ammo beacon, there will be times when you are really in need of ammo. I personally don't like burning EMP grenades just to pass through to grab ammo and prey that I come back to the room without going into dying status.

    - The C4 room while it has two pillars for cover. Theoretically on paper it sounds good, but it's not very practical as the spawn point in that room (where they drop from the ceiling) has a lot more enemies dropping down frequently compared to the left side room (A4). If you're setting up camp, you don't want frequent unexpected guests to ruin the party.

    - The overshield room on the right side C5 is positioned right at the mouth of the exit along with the free ammo dispenser which makes it easier to grab everything you need and head back in time before the next wave. The left side overshield room has the overshield tucked way back in the corner near the left staircase (and also near an enemy spawn point) from room A4 and the free ammo dispenser near the mouth of the exit. This makes the trip to get ammo and overshields a bit more difficult for non cloakers and non jet characters to run back to the camp room (if you're a soldier tank, you're pretty much screwed if you try to run back to the camp area C4 from the overshield room A5).

    - I've tried this strategy with my buddies and most of the top 50 ranked players and 90% of them prefer to hold fort on the left side than the right. Believe me, I've tried. To survive higher waves, you constantly need access to ammo to bring the rain of grenades and keep the enemy at bay. Unless you have a really good Demolisher player (who knows exactly when to put down the ammo beacon) and 2 other really good support teammates that can keep him alive, camping on the right side doesn't work as well as the left side. With camping on the left side we can make it to wave 23. On the right side, we've made it to wave 21 and it took a lot of luck relying on well timed ammo beacons.

    Thank you Limitbreaker for your response. I had a feeling you had tried it already and was curious about your take on that suggestion. I am going to try and get a team together to make a run at Remnant this weekend. We'll see how it goes...

    ++++++++++++

    Here's my first draft of Decepticon Escalation map for District. This was a bit tough in terms of getting the size of rooms and lay out correct. I didn't quite get it right but I'll tweak it over time and get more and more to my liking. I still need to go back label all the doors and sentries and I am sure I missed a thing or two or got a label wrong somewhere... I spent a good deal of time playing in this map yesterday but I was too busy playing to bother mapping what I saw. LOL!!!

    Thanks for all the feedback thus far on Remnant. My next project will probably be Forsaken to get all the tough maps out of the way. Static and Pulse should be a breeze...

    I think you're missing the engeron grid gates for the energon grenade room. I think there's 3 facing north, south and east directions for that room. Also, I think the thermo mines in the energon grenade room should be EMP grenades while the thermo mines in the null ray area should be flak grenades. As far as I remember on this map, there's only two spots for thermo mines - one near the scrapmaker area and one near the starting spawn point.

    Aside from that, good job on the maps!

    Oh yeah I've sent you a friend invite.

    Fixed!!!

    Thank you, I actually had the laser/energon grid gates on there originally but I couldn't remember if you could activate all 3 or not so I left them out until I could take a look at the map again tonight.

    I also can't remember if there are both Ion and Repair Sentries in the tunnel that leads to the Null Ray or just Ion Sentries. I know there are 3 pillars but I couldn't quite remember. There is also a door that can be opened in the North East that opens a small bridge and corridor underneath that has grenades but I can't remember if they're EMP or Flak or even Mines. It's the bridge east of the Scrapmaker...

    Thank you for the invite. I may need your help getting Forsaken all mapped out. Atleast, we need the doors all opened and have to leave at least 1 enemy running around while I get all that stuff in the fortress down. I have a rough idea more or less (like with the District map) where everything else is but that fortress has a lot going in there.
