We saw The Ark that carried Sentinal crash landed in to moon which couldn't have been hiding all those soldiers and space ships. And after that Megatron crash landed to Earth and all those other things happened after that. Exactly when the hell did they hid a damn invasion army beneath the moon?

Also if Megatron knew about it the whole time why didn't he just summon them right in the first movie? I mean sure in real world-wise the writers didn't even think about such thing back in 2007 but movie-wise couldn't Megatron call in the army to destroy 5 Autobots and grab the AllSpark?

And why did the advanced sentient species that went through hundreds of galaxies to come from Cybertron to Solar System needed portals to make a jump from moon to Earth??

Does any of these have answers were they never explained?

Haha I guess its just the product of bad writing :)  but megatrons line in DOTM kinda clarifies it when he says "He was mean't to rendezvous with me here on Earth before fates way layed us both" or something like that. But it still doesn't explain where that swarm of decepticons got there.

yes, that was pretty much the conspiracy theory in the first half of DOTM

I like the Transformers for the robots. I try not to think too much about the stupid stories & plot holes. Pretty much every series has stupid parts that make no sense.

it is possible those decepticons went to the moon way after the ark crashed..

you saw the drag lines from the russion satellite (or whatever it was..)

    soo..

megatron makes plans to meet sentinel on earth.. megatron crash lands in the arctic.. sentinel crashes on the moon.. decepticons arrive on the moon, retrieve most of the pillars, then, since there's no leader, they lay in wait on the moon for further orders. they didn't come to earth.. probably because it was only a couple hours from the time megatron was thawed and his death. so.. they weren't summoned.. or who knows.

plus, it was only five autobots.. and knowing megatrons ego and what he thinks of the autobots, i'm sure he thought he could take them all on and wouldn't need an army.

since sentinel is the only one who can control the pillars and during most of rotf there was no way to revive him, that's why megatron didn't attempt to at that point.. but once sam found the matrix and prime had destroyed the fallen.. that's when megatron's new/original plan went into motion.

.. it makes sense and works for me.

and why didn't they just fly to earth?.. same reason charlotte mearing was afraid of.. it's a means of an instant strike.. there's literally no warning.. everything is fine and then bam.. they show up.

again.. it makes sense to me.. i mean, with all of the energon detectors and shit, they would've been able to track decepticons flying to earth.

again, this too makes sense and works for me.

i think it was really cool how they worked the first movie into the third.. i mean, in the first they clearly weren't writing it in preparation for sequels.. so, i think it's cool that they found a way to work it in.

Megatron didn't come to Earth to meet Sentinal, he was chasing the AllSpark; That's why he crash landed to Arctic. Not to mention Hover Dam (Which in this universe was created to hide Megatron and Allspark) was built in 1931, While Sentinal Crashed in to moon in 1961, 30 years later hover dam was built and probably waaaaaay after Megatron and Allspark acutally crashed to Earth

And while Megatron is a warrior he's also a Strategist; I don't think even he would take such chance especially when the main source of Cybertron's Revival is at stake.

They are an advanced alien ARMY with advanced technology; They don't need to worry about any human resistance. And even if they have to, and even they required a suprise attack wouldn't it would be more of a suprise if they land in to Earth just like Autobots did in TF1 and The Fallen did in TF2? Sure Energon detectors might pick them. But that would have taken a whole less time than all those hours Sentinal Prime wasted to cause chaos, steal pillars, go to the museum and then activate them

This topic alone is one of the many reasons why this movie was so terrible. People say revenge was bad, but if they told the plot correctly, it would have made 12x more sense than this movies plan.

TF2 was hideous because of it's humourless idiotic jokes and the annoying characters who are just in the movie to execute those said jokes. If they removed those and simply followed the storyline, yes I agree the movie would have been much better than anything said in TF3.

What do you mean by 'The whole time?' The Decepticon Armada came to the moon at some point between ROTF and DOTM and started harvesting the pillars and hunkering down to wait. The Decepticons then needed to try and make the Autobots aware of the Ark's presence on the Moon because they needed Prime to get access to the crash vault and awaken Sentinel, hence the whole business with Shockwave in Chernobyl.

In DOTM, Megatron clearly tells Soundwave "You bring great honor in tracking that ship to the moon!"

So they didn't know right away where the Ark was. I'm assuming that after the events of Egypt, Soundwave began trying to locate the Ark and doing research, eventually locating it on the moon and giving the order for the entire remaining armada to take the pillars and hide out before DOTM happened.

Actually - the movies probably would have worked better in the order TF1, DOTM, ROTF.

Given Megatron was after the cube in TF1 - it's reasonable to assume the cube could have revived sentinal. Once the cube was destroyed - the focus then went to recovering the cube shards. Had they used a cube shard to revive Sentinal - this would have better tied up the cube story ark - leaving the introduction of the matrix to the third movie.

It would also make the fallen story more coherent. If the fallen had succeeded in activating the sun harvester - all life on earth would have been destroyed. Therefore making the idea that megatrons plan all along was to bring cybertron to earth to be rebuilt by a slave workforce rather silly. Why would megs help the fallen kill the very workforce he is relying on to rebuild cybertron?

Having ROTF after DOTM would mean that because cybertron had now been destroyed - megatron had nothing to lose by helping the fallen destroy earth.

Yup, totally agree, the script should be changed to: Sentinel open the space bridge and send every decepticons from every corner of the galaxy to earth
Another thing that kinda bug me is WHY THE HELL DID THE DECEPTICONS'S SHIP GET SUCKED IN SIDE THE BLACKHOLE after the piller was destroyed? Isn't Cybertron the only thing that got connected to the Spacebridge at the moment?

Remember when did he do that? He was Dylan's dad's client since 1970s way before the event in TF1 take place

At least some of the Decepticons had been on the moon since the 1960s as the photos taken by the Russians were taken before the moon landing in 1969.

Soundwave found the ship way before TF1. That's why he hired Dylan's dad and other accountants to create financial issues to stop all moon missions. As that other guy mentioned, there are also pics taken by Russia of the trails Decepticons made on the moon.

And it shows you are not paying attention.

Why do you think Megatron knew where the Allspark was going? Sentinel Prime told him.

They were supposed to meet but the Ark got shot leaving Sentinel Prime to travel 12,000 years plus before he can even reach Earth. Megatron got too close to the North Pole and he crashed.

The only other one in the plan was Soundwave. He was following the Ark with a fleet.

Soundwave never told the Fallen about Sentinel nor about the fleet to the fallen as he was loyal to Megatron. The Fallen wanted every Prime dead. Megatron was using Sentinel Prime to end the war with him in charge and with Sentinel killing the Fallen.

The Decepticons on the Moon were likely sent there to hide between ROTF and DOTM, once Megatron realised that Prime possessing the Matrix of Leadership would allow him to get Sentinel revived and continue with the old plan.

Whilst it's not compatible with, say, IDW's film universe, the DOTM video game bears this notion out, having the Decepticons launch a craft to the Moon shortly before the film.

But sentinel didn't know where the allspark was going - none of the autobots did.

In the first movie it was stated that the allspark was lost - and in the prequel comics (if you take them as being canon), it was bumblebee who launched the allspark blindly into space and Megatron spent years searching different star systems for it. If he had known where it was headed - he would have come straight to earth.

It was always implied that it ended up on earth by chance.

Are you kidding me? NONE of those things happen the way you said. Seriously, are you just making up these just to make sense of things?

No actually the Allspark landed to earth because it picked up and followed the energy signature of the Sun harvest that was hidden on earth.
