Weird. I must be missing a page or something. I've scanned every line of text and can't find it.

Nothing per se. But because TFW and Seibertron are both news aggregators, I usually prefer to link to an original source. It's just convenient how the comic panels are on a single page over there.

Ah ok, yeah, that was pretty convenient.

No, Hot Rod was in AHM too :)  I agree with everything else you said though ;)

I think they've referenced those mountains in LSOTW and/or Bullets too!

I'll be looking out for the 113 in this issue

I was just looking at the pages again, and well does anyone get a TF Animated vibe from Bumblebee's look now. He's really looking similar to his TFA design. I'm not saying it's bad, I'm just glad we're not getting the movie look shoved down our throats again.

I don't remember if they're separately referred to in Bullets, but Ironfist notes in LSotW that his first war campaign was in the Manganese, and it was there that he fashioned Optimus Prime's ion cannon (though he confused Ironfist for the inventor Skyfall).

Maybe it'll be said that 113 ships of neutrals and refugees arrived or something. : D

    Um what's the significance of 113? :)

Issue 113 of the Marvel UK Transformers comic is what got writers Nick Roche and James Roberts hooked on the series, so in much of their writing for IDW, there have been references to the number in different ways: there are 113 files on Grimlock's insubordination, Agent 113 is an Autobot spy in the Decepticon Justice Division, Datalog 113 of Wreckers: Declassified details the battle on the planet Pova, and Room 113 of the Kimia Facility is where the Ethics Committee meets.

(And possibly more references - I might be missing one or two.)

The Magnanese Mountains also feature (as does much Cybertronian landscape) in James Roberts' magnificent "Eugenesis." Best fan fic ever.

It just occurred to me that the "NAIL" who first confronts Optimus there looks a lot like eHobby Orion Pax. A repainted IDW Kup, almost.

Unfortunately, he also takes about the same number of design cues from Iron Man armor. I'm sorry, he doesn't look like a Transformer to me. Everything about his torso and legs screams "super-hero" to me, and that is not what I want to read about in a TF comic.

As much as Classics Rodimus is not my favorite mold ever, I really, really wish they based his comics look on that rather than this. He's one of my favorite characters and it kills me to look at him like this.

:cry  and the "claws" make the whole thing even worse.

I wish I could find that Eugenesis somewhere. I really like James' work and have heard good things about Eugenesis.
