Anyone else watching Deal or no Deal? or as the host of The Soup calls it "Howie Mandel randomly opening things" It isn't that bad.. If you haven't seen or heard of this show it is like this. 26 cases are brought out. Inside they hold a plate with an amount of money on it ranging from .01 to $1,000,000. Player picks a case. The case is brought down and set next to the player. It remains closed. The person opens a number of cases. The banker (who remains unnamed) then will make an offer for the case. Noone knows what is in the player's case. They can take the offer or press their luck and open more cases. Depending on the amounts left on the board the offer will raise or lower. It can be kinda fun sometimes. Also i think i figured out who the banker is... Ben Stein. I got a glimpse of the guys profile and it looked a lot like stein. He is completely in shadows, and you never hear his voice but i do believe it is him.
Why bother having to pay some one like Ben Stein if you are never going to show him when you can just stick some intern up there for free? I have seen it once; I think it would be cool to be on the show as every one wins something, but I fined watching it boring. I like quiz type shows more because I can try to guess along. There just isn’t enough thinking involved past “do I take what the shadowy guy offers me to quit or maybe get more/ less.
I like to watch it now and then. I get a kick off how greedy people get, turning down offers of $125,000 just to fuck up and win $500. Greed makes good TV.
I too love that. Greed is a bitch. My guess is Ben Stein is secretly a producer or something.. thus he is the banker.
Eh, I watched it three times, and it was basically the same each time. And it's not even trivia, just basic game theory stuff.
I like it. I've been suprised how crazy Howwie mandel HASN"T been. I wonder if it's part of his contract that he has to keep it under control.
Uh...haven't heard of it, like, at all. This on network? Cable? Sounds like it might be fun to watch drunk..which unfortunately still wouldn't nullify that fact that Howie Mandel is really friggin' annoying.
That game needs nothing more than dumb friggen luck... You don't need to be smart, you don't need to be quick, you don't need to be anything but a breathing human being...
How long has this been on? Cause it sounds like it's based on a Dutch TV-show. Oh, and in the Dutch version the greed díd pay off for one woman: She won 5 million bucks, and she would have won 15 million if she would have continued.
Heyheyhey...this is America God dammit! Where we find new ways for some random dumbass motherfucker to strike it rich.
