How the heck do they think that Deadshot is popular enough for a solo movie? I mean sure, Will Smith and all, but he's not the blockbuster maker that he used to be.
I think Deadshot is a great character, but he does not need his own movie just like how Cyborg doesn't. I like both characters, but they work better as part of a team.
Yep, this doesn't look to be a good idea. I still feel like the Cyborg movie should be cancelled, even though he is one of my favorite DC characters. Deadshot would work in other places, just not by himself.
I'd say the main reason this is happening is because he was played by Will Smith. If anyone else played him in Suicide Squad, even if the part was 100% the same, it wouldn't be happening. Will is a big name that puts butts in the seats.
I don't exactly see the point in a Deadshot solo movie, but I'm willing to give it a chance if it actually gets made.

Wow. Talk about being out if touch. Pretty much everyone says Harley was the best part of Suicide Sauad. So they decide to make a Deadshot move. Brilliant!
Suicide Squad was practically his film. Would prefer Katana getting a solo film since she was sidelined and severely underused.
I haven't seen SS yet, but from what I read, it is basically a Will Smith movie with everyone else as a supporting cast. If this is true, a Deadshot solo movie was inevitable.
Yeah, or better yet, put her in the team movie where she actually belongs: The Outsiders... But Suicide Squad wasn't very good, and Will Smith as Deadshot wasn't good in it. Even moving forward with Suicide Squad 2 seems risky at this point, but to give one of the characters a solo movie, from this shaky mini-franchise seems... like exactly something WB would do. It's dumb, but yeah, should have seen this coming.
Awesome. I've enjoyed all of the DCEU movies thus far, so the more the merrier. Deadshot does happen to have his own, albeit very, very small, rogues gallery. Philip Schale, Andy Haskell, Wes Anselm (he would be a risky to adapt since he's a pedophile who kidnapped one of Deadshot's kids), or they could just go with Catman as the easiest choice.
