I always had a little hope he might come back for a cameo even though Logan was clearly the end of the road. What a treat. Get him for Secret Wars too just for the hell of it. Can we get Tobey’s Peter too?

Knowing Ryan's MO? This is probably 90% Ryan and 10% Disney going, "WTF? If ya want. *SHRUG*" They saw the money the Deadpool movies made. I really doubt they want to shoot down his big ideas just because. And I am SO on board with this. Reynolds gonna be a busy boy between this and Wrexham.
Ryan has been trying to get Hugh in for a cameo since the first movie, there is usually always a joke about Hugh Jackman included in each movie. Hell Deadpool 2 even has a joke about it. This is basically a long running tease or gag finally paying off
Lets face it this is what we are all hoping for.... And if they have a good script it's a guaranteed hit.
Current rumor on Reddit is Logan will don a similar suit, in yellow and black. My favourite Wolverine suit is in yellow and blue, but this sounds good enough too.
