Well alrighty then. I wonder if this will be a Multiverse movie if this is indeed the case, and that somehow Wade will go from his universe WITH Hughverine (more than likely just a cameo), to the main MCU where he isn't that character. Hell....maybe Hugh will just be a fanboy at a comic con in a Wolverine homemade costume.
Supposedly, the original idea even before the Fox-Disney merger was to have Deadpool 3 feature Deadpool and Wolverine in a roadtrip style movie so it seems they are sticking with that idea. In addition, I believe Disney is contractually obligated to use the pre-existing actors for anything X-Men/mutant related until 2025 or so. There was also this scene in Deadpool 2 where Deadpool said he would get Wolverine "back in the saddle" eventually, which was for fun at the time but appears to have come true lol.
How is it that I can be so mad (Logan was the perfect swan song/curtain call/final chapter/end to it all) and yet so happy at the same time?
I mean, you’re describing the whole point of a Deadpool movie. Disney is executing what fans want. It’s like you’re complaining that Disney is literally giving fans what they were hoping to get. If you wanted something actually worthy of complaining Disney should have recasted Wade and fast tracked a sequel as soon as possible. Or better yet, made endless announcements and delays about the movie like other studios do with their franchises.
The release date puts this movie in between Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four. Out of the way it seems.
Well, Patrick Stewart appearing in the Multiverse of Magic was well-received, despite him saying he was done as Xavier in Logan. But that was a variant, the main character got his end. In all likelihood, this is just a team-up film that won't have any explanation, nor will it need one. The fact that Deadpool and Wolverine are teaming up is enough.
