Alex Saviuk drew the characters for those old Super Power boxes? I assumed it was Jose Garcia-Lopez. I primarily remember Saviuk from his time on Web of Spider-Man in the 90's.

If this is a "BBTS doesn't order enough" situation, versus a "McFarlane doesn't produce enough" situation, BBTS is acting a bit too much like a dopey corporate buyer that can't tell the difference between a Television and a Teletubbie.

I love that they actually incorporated that and the Cyborg Crawler onto the "card", as they were both unmade prototypes for the original Kenner line. I think Kid Flash was also planned for the line, but only got as far as a design sketch.

As it is, McFarlane's already pumped out figures of John Stewart, Deathstroke and Vigilante, AND Brainiac's Skull Ship - all of which were also intended for the Kenner line. So I would have NO problem whatsoever with seeing some of these actually get made too. :D

Given how often we're seeing sellouts across multiple lines, along with industry rumors, I think it's simply that most companies have cut production. They overproduced for a few years, they're pulling back to avoid The Rossening 2: Burlington Harder, and probably cut too hard so product is allocated.

"Hey, McFarlane is doing Cyborg Superman!"
"Oh, it's THAT Cyborg Superman, ooof. No one was asking for that version, it's going to shelf warm like crazy."
"Pre-orders are up, hmm, I'm curious if BBTS has some pics...WHAT, SOLD OUT!?!?"

Like, is BBTS only ordering 20 figs each of McFarlane stuff now?

I think either McFarlane is cutting production numbers and/or making them less available online so brick and mortar stores carry more. I will say that I've seen more DC figures on shelf in the past 2 months than I ever have before. This is all just a guess though.

Luckily EE and GameStop seem to not sell out instantly.

I just like BBTS because they actually get product in. I have yet to have Target or Amazon ship me:

    Knightfall Azrael
    First Appearance Batman
    JLA wave

Despite them listing it for preorder. Seems like a pretty simple concept to only list the stock you are getting for a preorder so you can fulfill, but these companies can’t do that for some reason.

Hell, EE shipped me all of the JLA wave but Superman. He’s still just not fulfilled yet. BBTS is the only one who actually fulfills every time for me.

I've never had an issue with GameStop NOT sending me items that I've ordered. I was one of the first people that received Wonder Woman and the JLA wave. My only gripe with them is the bait and switch they pulled on shipping costs with one of my orders... and not being able to use the monthly discount online for Pro members is beyond stupid.

I'm going to pass on that Cyborg Superman as it's not the version I want. When Todd makes this version of Henshaw, I'll bite.

Yea, the only thing that stops me from using GameStop is the shipping costs. It’s an extra $7 - $10 depending on the figure, and McFarlane trickles out releases so I can’t hit the free shipping threshold.

Watch him repaint the New 52 version into this as a Platinum.
