Has anyone gotten a chance to pick this up? DC Direct Bane looks better than the DC Superheroes version, but I was wondering about the quality. Is the articulation on par with the Marvel Legends stuff?
Articulation is nowhere near Marvel Legends, which isn't a bad thing IMO. The DC Direct Bane is huge - I actually like the DC Superheroes version better. I'm going to take a look this weekend, but I think I'll skip this one.
I should be recieving Azrael Batman and Bane today or tomorrow. I will take pics and let you know on the articulation soon.
I was only planning on picking up the Knightfall Catwoman figure, but when I went to my local shop yesterday, I couldn't believe how good all of them looked. Even Azrael's bad costume design couldn't turn me off. And Bane was huge! Now I want them all! More pics here.
Oh ****!! I didn't even know the Knightfall series was due. I need to get Bane to add to my collection. I just got Mad Hatter and Two Face from TLH line, and I own all of the Hush and Rogues Gallery figures.
I picked Bane up and I simply love him! He's big and bulky! The quality of the plastic like all DC Direct toys seem to be of a higher quality to compared to Marvel Legends and the retail DC Superheros. Bane doesn't have as much articulation as a ML figure but the ariculation is sufficient in my book. Meaning he has all the basic articulation that a figure should have! From a quick examination, the following joints are movable: 1. Neck 2. Arms 3. Elbows 3. Wrists 4. Legs 5. Knees 6. Ankles Bane has no articulation with his waist but its okay IMO. One of ML's sore points is that some of the figures are so multi-jointed that it spoils the look of the toy. Fans of the Batman will be pleased to get him. I passed up on the rest of the cast because of the scale! They're taller than your average ML and DC Direct figure. At least with Bane, the large size is a plus! Thanks for the input guys. I went to a comic book shop and got him for $14.99. Value wise it's not that great especially when you can get a Marvel Legends figure for a fraction of that. However, Bane was always my favorite villian and I've been waiting for an action figure that would do him justice. The Good: He's HUGE & SOLID just as it should be, much bigger than the DC Superheroes version. Not sure of the other Banes from other series but I'm pretty sure he's the biggest. He's a very good representation of the comic book version. The Bad: Darn it no waist articulation and the tube isn't detachable The Ugly: He comes with this stand/coffee coaster thing A great display piece but not much fun.
