No really. I was at a KB today while shopping for easter and came across the JSA figures fro mlast year. They had all 5 and were 5.98 each. I already had Hawkgirl but got Dr Mid Night this time. I might go back and get Mr Terrific and Hourman later but really don't care for them that much. But has anyone else found this strange occurance? I have never seen DC Direct at a chain. Maybe they are branching out or KB bought some stock at auction. Who knows.
My local liquidation store had a big rack of Lanterns and Legion for five bucks. I figure they must have come from SOME store originally, I just don't know which.
Big Lots buys leftover Hasbro stuff I know, and they own KB, so maybe its something like that? That's my best guess.
You're right it is indeed strange. Even in my country, I have never seen DC Direct stuff at the retail level. Well, only for once and it was at a toy fair and the series involved was the Mongul and Power Girl wave. I can understand if DC Direct wants to have more customers but it could hurt them as the competition is stiffer.
Yeah at the KB Toys that I work at we got DC Direct JSA on Our last weeks truck,An just this Monday 3/17/08 We got DC Direct Crisis on Infinite Earths Series#1,Reactivated at $6.98 each as well as Justice League Unlimited 3 packs of Batman, Hawkgirl, & Elongated Man,there were two other packs in the assortment but can't remember what they were or how much
