You, because I'm not correcting others' opinions.

You're not worth it anymore, off to muteville.

Anyway, back on topic. How often do the collecteds go out of print? I am wanting to chase down all the earlier Nightwing collecteds

Iconic Batman actor Kevin Conroy joins the DC Pride 2022 anthology creator line-up

Turns out Kevin Conroy is openly gay, and he will be included in this monthly special:

DC Pride 2022, the 104-page prestige format comic, publishes on May 3. The special features an introduction by transgender rights activist and Supergirl actress Nicole Maines along with a teaser of her upcoming DC project and a "personal story" - 'Finding Batman' - by actor Kevin Conroy, the iconic voice of Batman in Batman: The Animated Series, along with artists J. Bone and Aditya Bidika.

Always a good idea, miss the days when I knew nothing about clebrities and could just enjoy a show and not have to deal with their antics an political views outside of it.

Well this looks like good fun. Nice to see some positive media like this coming out still in the comics industry. Excited for this years set of Pride stories.

    The bad news:

DC To Cancel Aquamen In July 2022

Bleeding Cool understands that Aquamen is to be cancelled by DC Comics in July and that the solicitations released tomorrow for July, will contain the final sixth issue.

Relaunched earlier this year with Arthur Curry and Jackson Hyde sharing the lead as Aquamen in the DC Universe. Originally under former DC publisher and upcoming Frank Miller publisher Dan DiDio's plan, it would have just been Jackson Hyde as the new Aquaman of the DC Universe, but things changed. Bleeding Cool noted previously how orders crashed with the second issue, and not even a hastily-arranged 30% overship with a free Jim Lee variant cover could save the day.

As the Aquaverse Twitter account points out, Aquamen was a stealth six-issue mini-series, which means it was originally planned to be a mini-series but was felt by DC that if it was presented that way, retailers would not order sufficient copies, and so it was presented as an ongoing series. And if sales were high enough, it would be extended anyway. But the belief is that presenting it as a mini-series would have harmed orders. However, with only 19,000 initial orders for the second issue before the Jim Lee cover was dropped, it's hard to see that it would have made much of a difference.

    The good news:

Dreamer's DCU Debut in Superman Son Of Kal-El With Nicole Maines

Dreamer is a character originated for the Supergirl TV show played by actress Nicole Maines. Maines will also be writing a Dreamer story in the upcoming DC Pride Special. But after that, journalist Nia Nal and her superhero alter-ego Dreamer will make her first DCU appearance in July, in Superman: Son of Kal-El #13, also co-written by Maines.

"I'm so excited to work with Nicole Maines to bring Dreamer from the screen to the pages of Superman: Son of Kal-El and to the DC Comics Universe," said Tom Taylor. "I want to thank all the people at DC who have championed Dreamer and who recognize the importance of this powerful trans superhero in this time."

"Jon Kent and Nia Nal are two characters that have a lot in common, both as superheroes with the weight of the world on their shoulders, and as young people with impossibly big shoes to fill," said Nicole Maines. "Weaving their stories together for Superman: Son of Kal-El with Tom was a complete pleasure, and there is only a little pun intended when I say that Superman and Dreamer make for a brilliant new Dream-Team."

It's the dramatic DC Universe debut of Dreamer! When every hero on Earth is threatened by Henry Bendix's machinations, it's a race against time for Dreamer to warn Superman before it happens! But will this mysterious new ally's premonition become a nightmare for Jonathan Kent?

Superman: Son of Kal-El #13 will on sale on the 12th of July, 2022. Looks like this, and the other DC Comics July 2022 solicits and solicitations will be dropping tomorrow it seems.

I hate to hear that Aquamen is being cancelled. I don't have any interest in Jackson Hyde, but I like a good Aquaman series, so I picked up the first two issues and enjoyed them both. It's interesting to see Arthur working with Black Manta, and the mystery of what could possibly make the two of them set aside differences interests me.

This, and I also miss the days when people could actually disagree about things and it didn’t immediately become toxic.

I'm sad to hear about Aquamen getting canned. I haven't managed to read it yet, because I am still waiting for the final issue of The Becoming to arrive (tracking down the last variant cover was a pain). But I grabbed the first issue when I could. I suppose if it was never planned to continue, that's understandable, but I really love Jackson (though in my heart he will always be Kaldur)

Also happy 84th to Lois Lane, who out of all the supporting characters we know today, was there from the very beginning.

Wait, I’m probably reading this poorly because I’m tired, but where in the article is talk of a sell off? It sounded like DC is just getting the Marvel treatment from WB.
