It's like they think if they point out what a shameless rip off of Harry Potter it is multiple times in the interview, that somehow wipes out the fact it's a shameless rip off. Still, I'll give it a chance, and it's nice to see Mike Norton again.

Heh, I didn't even think of Harry Potter -- I immediately thought it was a magic Archie/Riverdale rip-off.

Batman: White Knight Unveils a New Batmobile

“I wanted my Batmobile to be a cross between a rock tumbler and a sports car, like you would see elements from a Ferrari and a Humvee. This is very different Batmobile. No matter what I threw at it, I wanted to keep classic elements. I wanted it to have the Keaton Batmobile [from Tim Burton’s 1989 Batman] profile.”

That second one is gorgeous. Can't wait for this one, even more anticipated than Metal.

If Gary Frank draws the entire thing it will be amazing.

Well, if there was any doubt for anyone that it was all Doctor Manhattan, that's gone now.

I'm just going to read Doomsday Clock when the collected edition comes out in 2019. Provided I even care by then.

From what I hear, it seems he's had a ton of lead time. Hopefully it was enough. Looking forward to seeing what Geoff Johns is going to do with Watchmen.

Hope so! It's been a long time since DC tried any event of this scale, and suddenly they have two in a row. Really looking forward to some great comics!

I have bad feelings about hammering the Watchmen and the rest of DC together, plus I never were a big fan of Dr Manhattan.

I used to have worse feelings about it, but my opinion of Moore has dropped so much that I realize that now, I'm more just indifferent to the idea. It neither angers nor interests me. If DC wants to cheapen Watchmen to the point of being just another Earth in the regular DC Multiverse, whatever. Go for it.

Honestly, I don't get the big deal about The Watchmen. I read the comic just before the movie came out and it was no where near as good as the hype for years led me to believe (same thing happened with The Dark Knight Returns). I enjoyed it for what it was, I liked some of the characters, but the story was mediocre, especially the last two issues, which I felt were garbage. The alien plot was so stupid and random. It just came out of the blue with no build up whatsoever. It had neither the charisma nor the craft that Moore had with V for Vendetta and Swamp Thing.

Are you sure you read Watchmen and not skimmed it - because, and I haven't read this in a while, but I'm pretty the alien plot was seeded across the series, the artist and scientists behind it, were several deaths laid out, as well as dialogue by the Comedian, etc hinting out the final plot by Ozymandias.

Nope, I read the whole thing. It took me a week or so to get through it.

In that case, I really don't know how you could've missed the seeds laid out before the last part. At the very least even if you missed it, the revelation at the end should make you want to look back and see if you did miss anything because Watchmen is really such a layered book.

The Watchmen already are that since they're based off already existing DC characters; Question=/=Rorschach, Batman/Owlman + Blue Beetle (Ted Kord)=/=Nite Owl, Phantom Lady + the Black Canary legacy=/=Silk Spectre, Captain Atom=/=Dr. Manhattan

And let's not forget this panel from DC's Countdown to Final Crisis.

I don't feel exactly like you do, but yeah, I think a lot fans overhyped Watchmen to a point that when I finally read it the comic I just felt 'meh' about it, so DC could do anything with the Watchmen and I wouldn't really care and the only reason i'll read Superman Doomsday is becusce it's about freaking Superman and the same goes for whatever DC has planned for them in later events.

My memories of this might be a bit fuzzy, but I think the art was done for Wizard, and Rorsarch didn't actually appear in DC's Countdown to Final Crisis. I really tried to forget what happened there because it was so terrible. If I recall correctly it was because editorial couldn't or didn't coordinate with Morrison on it and basically everyone was left doing what they thought was a tie in to the series.
