Hasbro, why did you have to make the Combaticons so difficult to disassemble?

EDIT: Note, I am not referring to combining them into Bruticus. I mean physically taking apart specific Combaticons like Brawl or Blast Off.

They are a pain to get off and for me to get on as well. I miss the old days, when having combiners was not a pain to combine or take down. Like how it was with the BW combiners.

No, I'm trying to take the figures apart for customization use but every figure is different and some of them are glued and their heads are all attached completely differently so you can't even swap them easily. It's almost as if Hasbro is trolling customizers.

About the BW Combiners, I felt Magnaboss and Tripredacus were both pains to assemble since they had to be alligned just right.

AS for topic at hand, oooo!!! what are you trying to make?

I'm trying to make my multiplayer characters. Specifically I'm brainstorming how to turn Vortex into a jet. But I don't want to do anything permanent until I know what I want to specifically do. To that aim, I'm ripping apart figures thinking about what I could do. I was trying to get Blast Off's "cockpit" off him so I could see how it might look replacing Vortex's tail.

But all of them are a pain in the butt to just pull apart.

I love it, personally. Kids(and some adults? lol) can shake the ever-lving shit out of Bruticus while playing with him and he won't separate. It's glorious.

Ya, you'd think with the games customization options they'd at the very least make every figure use the same style head joint so that could be swapped. Its a shame.

It'd be awesome if hasbro went the Halo Reach figs route and released packs for customized characters ... :(

Well, you can't exactly blame them. Hasbro's goal is (at least in theory) to design an appealing, articulated toy that can transform, can stand on its own, looks good, resists breakage, and can be mass-produced on a limited budget. Customizing is probably the last thing on their minds.

I don't claim that either. But other figures they've made, FOC Jazz for example, are super easy to take apart.

This thread was just born from frustration as I fought against the toys.

Agreed especially Trip. The first time I tried combining him, he also became the first TF I ever threw on the floor out of frustration! LOL!
