My Radicon Family,

My deepest and most sincere thanks to all of the fans of kitbashing, painting, art and of course Transformers. For the past 3 years it's been my pleasure to create some of the most unique and creative action figures for fans all around the world. Even though my passion for the franchise as well as my hobby of kitbashing will most certainly continue, 2011 marks the final year of Darkcave Customs as a regular contributor to the custom action figures market. While I plan on making the occasional custom for sale via eBay, you will see them 2 to 3 times a year, greatly reduced from what you see now. As I present my final run of commissions and for sale products into the New Year, keep in mind that these represent the culmination of my 5 years of experience and skill in painting and creating customs. Please enjoy viewing and owning them as much as I have creating them.

Do continue coming to visit, as I will have work to view from time to time, but in almost all instances they will be for my private collection and not for sale. I recall when I sold my first figure asking myself if it will be easier to sell my art as time goes on, or if I would always have some type of "connection" with my work and want to keep it to myself. I can certainly say that while the process of creating has become smoother, the want to keep these in my collection never has really waned. Which tells me one thing: They are worth more to me than perhaps anyone else. What a perfect reason to keep them.  

If you would like to possibly commission any work from me, please contact me by end of August 2011 for any info. Afterwards I will have my full schedule committed and will not be available for any additional projects. Again, thanks for the support and for making Darkcave Customs a successful journey. When you can look over your shoulder and see where you have been as an artist, it's nice to see that you have climbed up hill, not downward.

I have got many customs from AX23. I can say that he really does good work. I have to say that my latest from him, WWI Plowking really takes the cake.

AX23 more than exceeded my expectations with this piece. I am proud to be able to display WWI PK, and the other customs I have got from him in the past, in my collection.

I can highly recommend his customizing services.

I would have to echo this. I have 3 TFTM/ROTF customs as well as Galvitron Prime and Roller and they are some of my favorite Transformers ever. They will be some of the crown jewels in my collection no matter how big it gets.

This guy does such fantastic work, the two above posts totally reinforce what wonderful pieces he creates. On top of that, he's a great guy and cares very much for each and every one of his customs. I'm honoured and blessed to own his Redemption Prime, which is just one of the most mindblowing masterpieces I've ever seen. The love and passion is evident in his work. I fully recommend Darkcave Customs at least once if you're interested in having custom Transformers. Thanks again, Earl!!!

 

I just got my Cybertron Nemesis Prime from AX23 and it's freaking AWESOME!!!! Can't wait to see what else he turns out.

 

Hey earl! I've been trying left and right to contact you man, I see you around the boards still, and I don't want to hijack threads to get your attention, but I need to talk with you asap bro! On topic, from what I can tell, he does care very much about his product, but I'm just habing a hard time getting ahold of him. I'm assuming, and hoping, that it's just because he's so busy crankin out more awesome customs. Dude, check your pm's though!! Lmao, great work!

As of today, I am the proud owner of this "Dark Knight Prime" as well as a Wheeljack and Windcharger I commissioned from him.

All three pieces are WONDERFUL, and Bat-Prime (As I lovingly call him) is destined to be one of my collection-centerpieces.

Earl did an Alternators Smokescreen for me using an Alt Grimlock. Came out looking great! I'm very grateful to him for doing such a great job for someone who's on such a tight budget. He's a real stand-up guy.

I commissioned a Shattered Glass Smokescreen from Earl last month and I absolutely love it!... very reasonable pricing, offered ideas to make it even better, great communication during the customization process, certificate of authenticity, and offered to repair it if anything bad happens down the road.

Great guy, great service, and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to add a character to their collection that hasbro/takara/FP hasn't made... i know i will again!

I commissioned another Shattered Glass figure from Dark Cave Customs, this time the Noble Galvatron!



It's incredible how much time, effort, and thought Earl puts into his work. This guy is easily a permanent centerpiece in my shattered glass collection!

I've already tabbed him for a couple more commissions, why haven't you?

I am known to have perhaps the largest known "Prowl" collection. It has every known Prowl ever made by Hasbro/Takara....30 years of the character's name. Unfortunately, there is only one verse that is lacking a Prowl figure...the movie verse. Darkcave Customs came through with a commissioned one that is movie-verse but with a G1 twist on it.



It is my crown jewel in my Prowl collection and this is out of 42 in this character collection. It is very nicely done and high attention to detail was done in the process.

On top of this, I won a HA Drift and ROTF Sunstorm from him. Both of these are nicely done.

He is a great guy with great customer service and communication. I highly recommend him and his customs that he produces.

 

Earl knows I don't have a camera (only phone pics)....so I apologize for no pics, but Earl did a little job for me by making my BW Lio Convoy into a BADASS Lio Convoy, silvers, Golds, reds...drybrush, he hooked it up. I'm a big robot lion fan, and this sets in the center of them. Thank you!!

 

Got the Shattered Glass Magnus and all I can say is
