One more for today! Here we have the small capsule figures released in conjunction with "Dark of the Moon" ("Darkside of the Moon" in Japan). These small figures were released though coin vending machines in Japan and were dispensed randomly. These figures are phone danglers (meant to be attached to a cell phone) and use the same molds as the key chain figures released in conjunction with Revenge of the Fallen with the only difference being that the ROTF figures were attached to a circular base. The figures include Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet, and Ironhide in gold with blue eyes, and Megatron, Starscream, Blackout, Brawl, in silver with red eyes. Interestingly, Megatron is depicted in his original form from the first live-action movie (complete with ice!) and neither Brawl or Blackout appeared in ROTF or DOTM. Additionally, there were secret "chase" figures of Optimus Prime and Megatron. Prime is molded transparent blue with glitter in the plastic, and Megatron is molded in transparent black with glitter in the plastic. Each figure stands about 1.5 inches tall. Instead of making a separate thread for each figure, it seemed to make more sense to dump the pics (front and back for each figure) in one thread. Sorry if I've broken any sacred rules! Thank you for these Before I go ahead and create entries for them, I want to double check - are these identical to ROTF "Figure Collection" that were released by Hasbro UK except for the dangler parts? Optimus Prime (Figure Collection) - Transformers Movie 2 Revenge of the Fallen - TFW2005 Are they of the same size and material? There should be pages for the Japanese versions, but I want to add notes. (If they were of different plastic I know you'd have mentioned, but I just want to be 100% sure ) That clear blue Prime looks quite nice!
That is correct. The recently released DOTM ones have the cell phone strap attached to the back, whereas the ROTF versions had no strap, but came packaged with a small, plastic disc to stand the figure on. Aside from that, I can see to difference.
