I know how that goes. I have to be careful with my money right now as well. That's why when I was in college I recorded everything I could on VHS. Budget plan and get what you really need. But don't be afraid to look for deals. Someone on ebay or Amazon always eventually tries to get rid of something on the cheap.
As cool as all those skeksis designs Are, I wish there were figures of them. But the dark crystal hasn't been strong on merchandising.

I never saw the original, but I love seeing the use of practical effects in the trailer and that CGI was used sparingly. There was like one bad effects shot in the whole trailer.
By my count, we're gonna see 13 Skeksis total: One at the early point of the vision who kills the Gelfling Slaves (Likely SkekMal the Hunter), then 1 in the circle of the Crystal Chamber at 1:31 to left of the Garthim Master, then there is one in the Dinning Room, sitting left of the Gourmand. I know that all 18 Skeksis had been id in and after the runs of Dark Crystal The Garthim Wars Mangas and the Creations Myths Comics Skeksis
Interesting. I’m REALLY hoping they don’t screw this up. I love how they put Chamberlain’s whine at the end. Who’s doing his voice now?
So im confused, i was assuming this was a sequel but its looking more like a prequel, is that correct?
That was Power of the Dark Crystal, a sequel film that fell threw, but was revived as a 10(11?) issue comic series in 2017.
