*angry fist shake* Yeah, Walmart had ROTF stuff out down in the Springs. Wouldn't ring up, one checkout manager pulled the usual "they've been recalled" stuff till I set her straight. Then I was like "DAMMIT", and took my anger out on my stomach via Panda Express. OH WELL I TRIED. /rant
unless it was the preview figures, setting her straight is pointless cos they are not meant to be selling those figures yet. take the frustrations on the stock boys not paying attention to what they are putting out on the shelves.
So now she's not selling you the toy because of the street date, rather than because she thinks it's been recalled? Yeah, you show 'em! Stick it to the man!
She was going to take them off to Customer Service assuming they were recalled folks. I just told her that wasn't the reason I couldn't buy 'em (even though SOME people on here have had luck getting figures from Walmart), so she took them BACK to the toy people to throw into the stock room instead of throwing the product in some cart back in customer service.
I would've asked to talk to the manager. If its out on the floor don't they have to sell it to you cuz they fucked up?
I had to get back to the campus after I ate for an appointment, didn't feel like arguing for the sake of some toys I'll be buying in two-ish weeks anyway.
well isnt it just with like if prices are confused with? if say i saw a game on the shelf for £19.99, but it scanned up as £29.99 they have to sell it to me for the price on the item by law. isnt it the same sorta deal?
i have tried and bluffed getting figures early or cheaper incorrect prices at my local store, however harassing staff to get a figure they are not meant to be selling yet is alittle too obsessive though, borderline neckbeard territory there(yes some of you will figure out where else i hang out for toy news now too.)
Street dates do suck. Too bad they do have a sticker on them that say Do not Dell before May 30. It's only a few more weeks and Walmart has tons of them in the stockroom.
Pretty sure they don't have to do that either. Again, a store doesn't HAVE to sell you anything, and they don't have to sell at a lower price because some minimum wage pillock cocked up the label. Brief explanation of the law for the UK.
See, from what I remember reading on here from various board members who are employees at Target and Wal-Mart that if the merchandise is on the floor (by their mistake) and you want to purchase it, they can't deny you the sale. Keep in mind that's just what I've read, not saying I'm right.
