I ordered Leader ROTF Prime and the Fallen from Amazon last friday (the 5th).

So they arrived on the 12th. They were my first figures from the movie line I had ever bought, or even handled, so I was pretty excited.

    Opened the package and found

    1. The mech alive lever on Prime DIDN'T WORK AT ALL! Maybe something broken or some such...that was a bit of a downer since I was really looking forward to him. I left him in the box and knew I'd send it back to amazon...so at least I have the Fallen.

    2. The Fallen was missing an attachment piece/piece of removable "skin" on his left leg. Incredible!!!

Since I couldn't take Prime out of the box I thought at least the Fallen would be worthwhile as it was the figure I was looking forward to the most, after Leader Prime. But no! Infamous hasbro quality control strikes twice in one haul, and the entire order goes back.

Either that, or amazon got a real faulty shipment of figs.

anyway, they're already sending a replacement shipment. If the problem happens again...:banghead:

Yeahhhh those figures had defects. I've not had a problem with any of my ROTF figures. My Prime is awsesome and in incredible shape. Hope everything works out for you, and the next figures you get are in the correct shape. Prime is an awesome figure when he isn't broken from the get-go.

Preview BB's crotch was very loose, but that's the only problem I've got with my ROTF figures.

Anyway, good luck with the next batch.

I bought close to 80% of the stuff hasbro put out on the launch date, and none of it has any problems.

that sucks, i hope you have better luck with your next figures. i ordered the fallen from the hasbrotoyshop and usually the stuff i get from them is good. you can try them, the only downside is that their shipping is pricey and takes a while to ship.

Prime might still be okay. Did you flip down the button for the mech alive? First one I saw was flipped up and I didn't realise this I till compared it with another.

Also, you can lock the mech alive by pushing in one of his side windows. When you do that the button won't push down, the gears won't turn and he won't speak. Pulling the window out unlocks it.

The lever was loose and did absolutely nothing aside from easily flip up and down...i've seen it at toys r us and tried the lever...pretty sure mine was busted, there's zero resistance at all when you move the lever, it just moves up and down

I feel for you. That sucks out loud. Overall I think the quality has been great. Much better than animated and universe2.0 IMO.

The only ROTF figure I have that has shitty QC is Preview Bee, a figure, which in itself, it a piece. Everything else is okay.

That sucks man... sorry to hear that. My advice to you is to avoid shopping online on Hasbro stuff as much as possible. You might be surprised how 'lucky' you can get sometimes, when you have to return/exchange a figure for the third time. When I was buying my ROTF figures, I saw so many of them got all scratched, crooked decepticon symbols, paint splat on faces or body parts, mechalive gimmick got stuck or no sound...I have to look through quite a few to get one in good shape, pretty much everytime. Even my seemingly perfect ROTF Leader Prime, end up having a headlight glued wrong and not flush on one feet. There is always something wrong...lucky if they are acceptable and minor.

So, buying stuff in person at a shop may save you some headaches later on, and easier to return things when the figure does have issue. Leave online shopping for better QC releases, or figures you can't get otherwise.

I've just come to accept that any figure I buy is most likely going to have SOMETHING wrong with it. Be it paint problems, missing pieces, or loose joints (by far the most common).

Pretty much every main line figure I've bought for the last 2 years has had an issue, and most all of them have had some kind of joint issue.

Yeah, thats pretty much a given, unfortunately. So I have managed to come up with quite a few creative solutions to deal with loose joints. So instead of wishing Hasbro get the joints right, I just wish the joints are accessible or disassemble-able, so I can easily take matters into my own hands. But when you really hit the bottom of your luck, you may find them joints being locked by pins or randomly glued togehter...

After you flip it into place, can you push it down? If it feels like it's jammed, the mech alive might just be locked like I described earlier (which you can easily undo).

but it's a complex toy and it's conceivable that something else could have gone wrong.

    *looks at Animated Voyager Prime*

I know how good of a figure it could be, it gets so much praise.

But those damned pin joints for his shoulders and arms..so loose, no way to fix them.

Does your defective Prime speak at all? If you are just worried about the chest pieces moving, they may not be clipped in on the shoulders (a step in transformation), because if the are not, they won't move.
