Anyone else not able to find the group at all on Facebook? It disappeared from my searches and I can't load any external links that target the page (Google searches etc).
Yeah it's fucking ridiculous that this can happen. His page was around for what, a decade at this point? Yet an impersonator who popped up a few days ago can get it shut down? Get the fuck out of here.
FB is not a safe site for our personal information. I haven't been on FB in 10 years and I've never once missed it. I don't like that I can't view things without logging in and telling them who I am personally. If Daimchoc can't get his FB back, I hope he can set up on another site.
I've tried reporting the fake page a few times to no avail, annoyingly. If Daimchoc sees this I hope they realise how bloody appreciated they are in the community. An actual reason how I got into collecting in the first place was stumbling on their FB page.
If he does that then I got a reason to delete my FB, literally the only reason I have it is for 3P updates from him and others.
I wonder if it also has anything to do with him ripping videos from Chinese SM sites. Facebook doesn't embed Weibo / Bilibili videos, so he rips them and uploads them to onto his FB page, so that they can be played instead of just a link. The problem with that is that the views from such videos are attributed to him, and not the original content creator. Some of the well-known Chinese TF video content creators, like Mangmotion and Double Dagger, have banded together under the name SpicyAnimationNZ on SM to take down accounts that rip their videos without permission. Their leader is an account called "More Than blinds Your eyes", and they have posted videos of numerous accounts taken down by them, such as this: Their joint SM accounts: TikTok - Make Your Day Spicy Animation - NZ I tried warning DaimChoc about it a few times, but I don't know what he did about it.
