Easy pass, only way I'm buying another Jetfire outside of Chug is if its Masterpiece level of either IDW or G1
Why the fudge would I want to ruin one of the most awesome G1 figures in my collection? Dumb dumb dumb!
The original character designs and certain screen caps are fine. I think your post there is an extremely polarized view that almost just comes across as a personal jab at the G1 show in general, though. Jetfire is not a "rare' G1 toy. A bone-white, mint specimen can be a bit more difficult to find, and the Macross variant is a bit tougher. Rare? No. There are a ton more G1 toys that are truly considered "rare". Speaking of the color condition, I'd think that presenting this set that the speciment used to show it off could have been in a bit better of shape. This is what I want as well. See ref: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/635056-masterpiece-skyfire.html Agreed. There is an abstract quality about G1 that just can't be replicated now because G1 was very much about figuring out just what in the world these things are.
Is there even any G1 jetfires left in existence anyway? That kit suffers from a bad case of cranius underslingus or cranius gigantious, either way, a niche item for a niche item
Agreed, still the best robot to jet transformation ever in my opinion, Shoji Kawamori should design more Transformers, shame his MP Seekers weren't well recieved... I don't think I'd even get an MP Skyfire if one comes out, that's how cool the design is!
I like the idea of upgrading an old toy, hands seem decent, but that head is awful. Then again only original old TF I still have is my g1 prime.
some of you are being asses, its a nice first try, gun is nice, head does look a little big, I'm guessing not the final product? If the head was a little smaller i would buy a loose junky jetfire and stick that head on it, and a new backpack and armor wouldn't be too shabby of an idea
ARAFAT209- be proud of your work, I'm sure you put a lot of effort into it. I admire anyone who can not only sculpt but actually get a project off the ground and get it into shops. Kudos to you sir.
