I think that Cyclonus would be Drift since his Voyager toy is a helicopter and that he would be a turncoat against the Decepticons.
i wish cyclonus was in this movie.. but i REALLY REALLY wish he was a jet.. as of right now there aren't any jets in this movie. and man, i LOVE fighter jet transformers. starscream was awesome. i think what they can do with his action sequences are awesome. like.. in the first movie when he transformed and destroyed the friendly F22's, that was awesome. or when he swung in, transformed shot ironhide and ratchet a few times then flipped, transformed, and flew away. i've probably watched those scenes more than any other in the first movie. anyways, if cyclonus ever shows up in the movies i'd REALLY like him to look like this.. or this..
I wish that were true, like his entire design is merely a disguise! Once he revelase himself his mask transformers to a Decepticon face and his body changes completely!! Only then would I stand watching his face on the big screen. Man if that happens Drift would be my favorite of all time.
I still think that "Cyclonus" was the cover-name for Galvatron. That said, it would be interesting if that's what they use as Drift's pre-Autobot name, and possibly post-Autobot name if he goes back to the Decepticons.
Soooo ...what your saying is that drift is actually the cover name and he is really cyclonus.....interesting ill give you that! Maybe a little hard for the story to pull off considering we've got a load of human bots potentially turning too but still possible and would make one hell of a story arc....i however believe cyclonus if he shows will be either a cybertronian who is all cgi or a remaining upgraded stinger esque human built drone.

There is still the un-nammed bot that was matched up from the Payoff trailer. (I don't think the helicopter part is relevant any more, that RC is basically confirmed as Drift now, due to the Drift reveal, but the match of the concept art to the in-movie bot is a certainty). He ISN'T just another vehicon. He is something else, different. Larger, certainly more modelled towards an aerial vehicle with the shoulder boosters and the rotor-like whip. Part of me is still sold on the fact that this isn't just another drone, but Cyclonus.
The Cyclonus on the call sheet we saw was definitely referring to the Argosy though seeing as it was part of a list of vehicles physically present on set and all the other characters were named and accounted for. They wouldn't list a CG vehicle/character on that list, for obvious reasons, and it would just be confusing to use the name of an actual character as a cover name for a different one.
The render of the helicopter bot is something else. I would love to see that happen in full force and transform. Be neat to see the chopper it would be. The whip is a nice touch to, a bit like the Sword from Pacific rim. Very cool looking bot none the less.
I would like that bot from the trailer to be Cyclonus, but myttns did a pretty good job of explaining that name's relationship to this movie. We know Drift will be a helicopter at some point, but other than that, we're not aware of any other aerial vehicles among the cast, which kind of cuts down what this guy could really be. He does seem to be larger than the other vehicons... but that doesn't really count for much considering the variety of Decepticons we've seen the Autobots slice through in seconds in the previous films. I think he's just different to add variety, which is a shame because his design is badass. And yes, with those horn-like extensions on his head, Cyclonus would be a pretty good name for him.
The RC chopper is meant to be Drift. It's even got the Bot logo on it. The in-named TF you outlined here is a Con or man made that turns Con. Bee is fighting it and OP cuts it in half later in the trailer. So its for sure not this chopper.
I even said that I knew it wasn't the chopper any more however, this bot does not match with any from the last scene as far as I can tell. A grey bot dies, but nothing this large with the same bulky, shoulder engines style.
Cool spotting. I hope that is a robot. As for Cyclonus, I don't think he will be here, sadly. But hopefully he will be in TF5.
There are actually several of those in the movie. If you check the shot where optimus jumps off grimlock and throws his sword you'll notice a few of them.
Wow. That's absolutely brilliant. I'd kill to see that exact bot and jet come to life on the big screen!
To me, all of those appear to be Chevy Trax bots, which we have the whole body CGI renders and statue of to compare. They do have similar arm blades (which are actually the roof racks... interesting design), but the chest and shoulder design is vastly different. On another viewing, the grey bot on the right that bursts into green goo COULD be the same character that Bumblebee is fighting, but the black / white / red drones are for sure the Trax (plural.. traxes? traxxi?)
