This is a thread dedicated to discuss why Cyclonus was the most amazing second in command any Emperor of destruction had.
He was the one who brought Galvatron back to a defeated Decepticon force so they could rally behind their leader again.

He also had a screen presence few Sunbow characters could equal.
I remember in the birthday of UM episode how intimidating he looked when he and the Sweeps showed up.

    His design is also amazing.
I always loved that shade of purple and his sleek sexy alt mode. And his athletic physique with the folded wings on his back and the horns as a callback to his creation by Unicron.

Let's hear it. Why is Cyclonus your favorite character or what do you think is it that makes him the greatest Decepticon second in command.

    Because he knows true loyalty.
Also Soundwave but is also opportunist and for this, Cyclonus is the second in command every ruler should desire.
As a child I preferred Starscream now Cyclonus as character. He'll aways protect his leader and for absolute dediction and trust would never betray him becasue for him it also would be an act of absolute dishonor usurp him or abandong him for another leader just because is stronger.
And then is amazing for another reason, although appears so sinister as bot, within him he knows respect and honor , and especially when Galvatron is not around :D  he can show his traits when he saves Ultra Magnus,in that Autobot he saw noble traits despite is an enemy.
Ans that gigantic space ship with cockpit in the central section big enough to carry Galvatron make him enormous and caring,he personally guard Galvatron and faces perils in the long space flights .

Cyclonus in my opinion is Skywarp reformatted. It's always a fing shame that the Decepticons get short changed. Bombshell and the other two insecticons should of became three (3) new characters and not generic clone copy rabble. It would of been better if the insecticons were reformatted into three other space fighters or even five and made a new combiner for the movie.

I admit I didn't think much of Cyclonus till his IDW incarnation. That post-war made him a pretty awesome character, trying to find his way in a new world and forming new friendships with different people he'd normally never meet.

And in general, his horned Viking/jet design is pretty cool. It's a shame he was nameslapped onto a copter in ARMADA.

And you think he's actually trustworthy to Galvatron?

He's a solid character, always thought so. My brother and I also found it funny he never said a single word in the movie. Roger C. Carmel was great voicing him (same with Motormaster)

I portray him spot on in my photo comic Transformers: The Epic Saga he's got some great moments so far. He shows up in episode 4 and just oozes G1 Cyclonus from the start.

He'll always be a favorite of mine.

They never used them in the movie. Only Scourge spoke.

Cyclonus is even credited in the credits but actually never spoke.

He asked Galvatron if he wanted him (Cyc) to "gut Ultra Magnus" when they arrived on Junk and had a couple other lines.

That's a sweep. His head even pops out and speaks the line. Galvatron is in Cyclonus.

I find his relationship with Galvatron in the third season of the cartoon to be simultaneously hilarious and sad. He seems to be a great second in command, super loyal and capable... and the leader is an absolute nutcase who beats on and threatens his own men.

That's the scene I'm talking about, that is Cyclonus (Roger C Carmel) speaking. The Sweeps don't say anything in the movie. The deep voice you are attributing to a Sweep is actually Cyclonus.

TFWiki lists Cyclonus (Roger C Carmel) as having lines.

In the UK story Target 2006, off panel, they did clash. Cyclonus won.

Watch the scene again. You'll see the sweeps head come out saying it.

Yes Roger spoke the line of dialog and he was cast as Cyclonus however.....
......this is true, a Sweep entered the scene at that moment popping his head up as the line was spoken

but if you watch very closely we really don’t see his mouth move much is at all (it’s very hard to tell)

So it’s a half a dozen of one and six of the other

He had a good showing in the killing jar and webworld.

It is strange he has a clone (armada) but never uses him.
