Transmetal aside, that was pretty much every iteration of Cheetor's character, and this is supposed to be based on his original form. So the transformation is spot on. Pun fully intended.

What you take to be stripes just look like spots that span a relatively short distance. (If you're referring to the black on his bot legs.)

This is it, this is the mainstream push that BW stuff needs to be more successful at retail. It looks good, and blends in well with the series/toy aesthetic. As long as it doesn't peg warm, this may be the renaissance that some on this board have been predicting.

You know... surprisingly this is actually a really good figure for this line. I've avoided the rest of Cyberverse like the plague (I like the designs, but the toys are just too simple for me). HOWEVER, Cheetor here works... and he has a "G1 animal" style aesthetic so he doesn't look out of place with with anything else you might put him with. I think that's the "redesign" BW stuff needs if it's going to make it into the mainstream Generations line. I'll pick this up... especially since Cheetor has really always been a pretty simple design (ie: front legs become arms and back legs become robot legs, etc.) and, for this line, he looks surprisingly well articulation wise. Not too shabby there Hasbro.

my brain: "oh yeah, that's a nice basic sized figure I'd pick up that will cost somewhere around £7-9.99"

reality when I saw the RRP: "maybe on clearance"

Looks okay except for the hollow parts. Had these been released before MP cheetor, I would have totally bit on it though

I'm actually okay with this. My main beef with Beast Wars was always that they were ORGANIC animals. This looks more like a robot animal like G1 Predacons and Catilla and such. I can dig that.

Does this ship armor come with anyone else? Thought it came with Bumbles too? I wanna have two battleships!

Why do I want this? Is the lack of a Cheetor in my CHUG line (sans that Henkei one that I can't stand either)? Looks decent?

I dunno, but I'm adding 1 more Cyberverse figure by the day that I want....

Its sets like this are why I love collecting Transformers because only in the world of the transformers were you can have Cheetor wearing armor from a battleship and not give it a second thought.

Is the tail on the waist or hooked to his torso piece?
Spin the waist and Cheetor can be happy to see you.

I want this, however, I think the cameraman is hiding the ugly bits once again.
It looks like the robot mode legs bend at the knees and then at the shins, which means the robot knees are almost touching the ground.
Hopefully it doesn\'t look bad in person, but I really want to see a side shot of this.

No matter what, my daughter wants one.

The "shin" joint is for his cheetah mode.

I get that. But I'm just concerned that when he is in cheetah mode, his knees are probably really close to the ground.
I think they are hiding that in the pic.
I'm picturing a robot on it's hands and knees, with a cheetah mask on.
I really do hope it doesn't look as bad as I am imagining it.

This doesn\'t look too bad! Beast mode looks fine, bot mode looks alright. Not bad at all, whic is fantastic by Cyberverse Standards. I look forward to picking this guy up!

Well technically in cheetah mode the shin joint is his heel and the robot knee is his ankle.

Tossing in Beast Wars characters willy-nilly into G1-inspired continuity? Pah! Who would do something so weird -

    *Looks at IDW*

    ...oh.
