You know, theres times when you hope your favorite character (who you get every model cause its your favorite) wasnt choosed to get a figure in some series or format. This is one... I expected nothing, and still i'm disapointed. the only four articulations located on the arms are almost useless, arms are hollow too. The transformation gets jammed sometimes, and it seems there nowhere to store the big gun in "standard" robot form. The alt mode is....well, the source material wasnt helping to begin with, but at least the deluxes managed to make it look like some mobile gun turret, here, its a table? A pinball station? A Cybermouse trap? I dont know. The only ultimate thing in this is his size i guess and the outrage of his price for what you get. Fun for a Kid i suppose, well its whats aimed here to be honest. largely passable for adult collector Not a good buy for a Shockwave fan, AT LEAST this one transform...looking at you vinyl titan shockwave
Every one of these garbage bricks makes me think of the boardroom scene in Big. Kids don't find these to be fun.
Now I kinda want to see a bunch of bots around him playing pinball while Shockwave taunts poor players and prevents them from shaking him in alt mode. You think getting TILT was bad? On the one hand it doesn't make me overly excited for Ionacus, but on the other hand, he doesn't really transform into anything either, may not need the silly Energon Armor, and they may put more effort into him or have even cheapened out the others to put more budget into him.
I asked for an Ultimate-Class Shockwave, this is nowhere near what I hoped for. Studio Series it is then.
