I mean in IDW Arcee was “male” when she was forged and was a trans woman, it was just written poorly and made being trans purely a tragedy. Had to have other writers and an actual trans woman try to steer that shipwreck back from disaster. I think that aspect of Arcee could work really well if written right. Not really a male Arcee though.

Cyberverse is so good and so much denser than people who haven’t seen it imagine. S3 is absolutely one of the most out there brave stories in the franchise. And it’s excels in every meat WFC falls.
Don’t want it to end but man am I ready for a good time giving it a send off

No, that never happened. Jhiaxus introduced gender to a race where gender is a completely unknown concept. However, it was more like Adam and Eve learning that they were naked. They were always naked but had no concept of nudity until they learned that they were naked. Likewise, Arcee was always who she was, only she too had no concept of gender or how she was different from the masculine Cybertronians until Jhiaxus' experiments. There is no "transgender" element to it. There was no "being trans is a tragedy". She just didn't take it well now standing out as being different where before she was an equal. As far as the Cybertronians are concerned, before Jhiaxus' experiments, they were genderless. Saying Arcee was masculine originally indicates that they were aware of a male gender of their race, which simply isn't true.

Someone didn't read the books after that issue. Gender did exist, just cybertron had been isolated for so long from its colonies they lost the ceoncept of gender, trans characters in IDW exist, Arcee was one of them, they had a trans writer help fix the gross way Furman fucked it up. They made it pretty explicit in pretty much every piece of media after that one story. Also, as a trans woman myself, please don't try to tell me what a story wasn't, especially when the representation is about me. You can google arcee trans and find others like me who appreciated having IDW give us rep and articles talking about it, it's not hard to just do your due diligence. You can't cherry pick what's canon or not.

Based on some things I\'m reading in this thread, it reaffirms I made the right decision to stop reading IDW comics a LONG time ago. As for Cyberverse. I'm glad the kids are getting something new for the end of the year. OG fans like myself got WFC earlier, and while it wasn\'t perfect, it was still entertaining.

I still maintain Transformers Prime was the last great show everyone could enjoy together. I am patiently awaiting the next great thing. But from the looks of it, I\'ll be waiting a few more years at least.

Seeing trypticon was super fun. I love trypticon and since machinina felt more like a fan web series and not really a proper cartoon, it’s like this is the first time since the 80s the big dino has had some screen time. I know he appeared briefly in prime but he stayed in nemesis mode the entire time. This is like a proper return and I’m so happy to see him. I hope we get some cool action between him and volcanicus. I think it would be cool to see a cyberverse metroplex but I’m not expecting him and won’t be disappointed when he doesn’t show up, but a proper rematch of metroplex and trypticon in cyberverse animation would make me lose my mind. Also we got all five dinobots back together again. Im super excited. Where and when does this come out in the USA? 

 

I guess you don’t count him being the final boss in the War For Cybertron game?

 

Looks like a worthy ending to Cyberverse is finally coming! It’ll be sad to see this series finally go.

 

This series in its entirety is really really good and so few people know it
