I've had 2008 Universe Prowl on my CHUG shelf since he was released, and was always..."OK" with it. I never had the QC issues others did, but I agreed that his proportions seemed too lanky for the character I knew (G1 Prowl being one of my earliest figures). Siege was better in this regard, but worse in some others so I passed.

Then I saw the Cyberverse Warrior Class Prowl, and while he had his limitations the sculpt managed to hit all the right notes for me. The only things I found lacking were the head and paint, and those were relatively easy fixes.

The head came from a Unite Warriors Prowl, which was attached to the Cyberverse neck plug so he still retains articulation there. The only other physical change I made was to the front wheels, where I added black hubcaps to match the rear wheels.

For paint, I stripped off any blue above the car's character line and repainted everything below it black. The shoulder joints were painted white, the grille silver, the marker lights orange, and the taillights red. I drew up a set of graphics to recall his G1 paint scheme, and printed them onto waterslide decal stock.

 

Great job. You've really made this mold shine!

Looks great! It gives him the beefy look like in the pre-Unicron IDW comics.

 

G1 Prowl is a sentimental favourite of mine as well (was also my first TF), so I've historically always bee looking out for versions that can be made into a really good Prowl.

I've glanced over the Cybervers Warrior a few times, but I didn't see this potential in it... you really elevated the whole figure! Wow! THIS looks like Prowl to me!  

It's still a bit small to fit in with my CHUG collection, but still... gotta get one of these now.

My own "CHUG" shelf is really just a combination of my all-time favorites, including G1 Jetfire, Animated Blur, RobotMasters Mirage, KO Optimus, 3P Huffer, and Movie Hoist...they're all more or less the same scale, but with enough "weirdos" in the mix so everyone kind of averages out and it's hard for any of them to look out of place.

I was disappointed by his limited articulation at first, but as soon as I started thinking about upgrading it I realized this is *Prowl* - he's supposed to just stand there stoically  

 

Especially the alt mode from some more angles and with deployed cannons if possible.
