My success with Cyberverse Deluxe Prowl into Rapido made me look into other ‘bots and ‘cons I could make into other G2 era characters.

Oh, hey. That looks like it would work with the purple G2 Megatron look...

I had to get a little creative with it, as I’m fresh out of G2 era stickers and the Cyberverse figures aren’t necessarily designed for being torn apart and slapped back together. Especially the spring loaded gimmick.

...but I think it came out ok.

Ok, I think this looks really awesome. I printed out the G2 logos using some printable shipping labels and the faction symbols from the tf wiki. It looks a touch muddy, but I’m ok with that. The triangle black camo is me using sharpie on extra space of the shipping label and cutting it into triangles. For a cheap custom, it looks kinda nice!

(I am, however, realizing I transformed the turret backwards in tank mode. Whoops.)

Finally, here’s Megatron with other 90s customs I’ve done: Hooligan and Thundercracker.

    Looks really nice :thumb
    But why the backwards cannon(s)?
I added a joint to the wrist on mine for a better look of the alt mode:

And a magnet inside the left knee and one inside the morningstar to keep it a bit hidden in alt mode:

The yellow tape is only there because I want to paint the morningstar.

Yeah, that was just me assembling the cannon backwards because I forgot it was supposed to be a Cybertronian hovertank. Sweet mods, though!

Those are pretty easy to do (IF you got the right tools).

Looks great. You can also repurpose it as Archforce or pre Beast Megatron which has been done with the G2 and Titans Return versions in official fiction.

No offense to you, but I hate it when people say, "it can be archforce too!"

NO SHIT! Archforce was just G2 megs without the MEGATRON RULES! sign! There is almost no difference, I don't see anyone say, "Oh, that G2 Prime can also be Sureshot" So why with Megs?

"No offence" he says then proceeds to offend.

There are a few instances where Archforce was used as a clone or separate character to Megatron. Even the Archforce repaint of Titans Return Megatron has been used in obscure but official canon as pre Beast Megatron.

Personally I hate when repaints are meant to be the same character.

Why can't Sureshot be another Optimus fanatic like Pyro who suffers from Primus Apotheosis?

IDW used G2 Sideswipe, Ramjet and Actionmaster Thundercracker as separate characters to the G1 versions.

Dreamwave had Soundblaster and Delta Magnus as clones of Soundwave and Ultra Magnus respectively.

Botcon had the G2 Gobots and Machine Wars toys as clones of the originals.

My apologies, I just got frustrated, which was my mistake. It would be interesting in terms of Sureshot. I think the IDW G2 Sideswipe was the best version of that as he had a reason to both be a separate character. I'll take your word on The Dreamwave stuff, and I don't remember Action Master Thundercracker and Ramjet.

Again, Sorry about being an ass.

Nice work! Another great G2 figure.

All this discussion about Archforce reminds me. Megatron needs to get his clones in check though. Archforce and Megaplex too.

No worries. Actionmaster Thundercracker and G2 Ramjet appeared in a crowd scene in one panel. I'm a Seeker nut and always glad when official fiction retroactively makes repaints like that separate characters to the original in this case bulking up the Seeker ranks.

The Dreamwave repurposing I mentioned was also in just a couple of panels when they were seen floating in vats of fuel/nutrients, awaiting activation.

    Welcome aboard.

He is. He's from the Machine Wars line which came out in 1997 comprised of European exclusive repaints such as Rotorstorm as Sandstorm and unused G2 toys like Archforce and Mirage.
